I’ve struggled with weight most of my life. I was an active kid with a big
appetite. Growing up, I became less active and overindulged in junk food and

I’ve struggled with weight most of my life. I was an active kid with a big
appetite. Growing up, I became less active and overindulged in junk food and
bad habits. At 18, I weighed 200 lbs. As a result of my unhealthy
lifestyle, I reached my heaviest weight of 260lbs. I had high cholesterol, high
blood pressure, and was at higher risk for diabetes and heart disease. I was
young, miserable & depressed, that was my wake up call. I got a job working with
kids at the gym. I took advantage of the cardio and weight equipment. I tried
every fad diet that there was. I was able to drop 20 lbs and then I hit a
plateau. I got discouraged and gained most of the weight back. I repeated this
cycle several times over the next couple of years. Exercise seemed like such a
task, reading magazines on cardio equipment got boring. In the fall of 2006,
I saw the Turbo Jam infomercial.I was too nervous and intimidated to attend a live class. My mom
ordered Turbo Jam from Beachbody and the rest is history. I started with the
Learn and Burn DVD and I was instantly hooked, I lost 20 lbs in the first
month. The music is amazing and the routines are so much fun. Chalene’s
energy is contagious and her motivation is infectious. I gradually worked my
way through all the DVD’s and showed up for my first live class. I lost 70 lbs
in 1 year just doing Turbo Jam. In the fall of 2007 I found out that Beachbody
was looking for people to participate in Chalene Johnson’s new program. I
felt like this was meant to be and I’m suppose to do this. My sister and I were
lucky enough to be selected out of a few hundred applicants to be a part of
the ChaLEAN Extreme 90 day test group. After achieving 70 lb success with
Turbo Jam I was wondering how I could lose even more. ChaLEAN Extreme
was the answer with its “muscle burns fat” philosophy. I was able to decrease
my body fat by 7% in the first 30 days. Thanks to Turbo Jam and ChaLEAN
Extreme I have lost 108 lbs, 45 inches, and 20% body fat. I am now a certified
Turbo Kick instructor and an Independent Beachbody coach. My life is better
in every way because of my transformation. Thanks BEACHBODY!
