I have been into fitness, dance and sports my entire life but as I grew older and started a family, taking care of myself started going down on the priority list. I hit a point where I got depressed and didn’t know myself anymore. I didn’t have family around and I needed help. I didn’t like the way I looked in my clothes and I just wanted to hide in them. It would take me a very long time to get dressed in the morning because I didn’t feel comfortable in anything. For a few years I lived in Texas and I was the only one with a long sleeve shirt on when it was 100+ degrees outside because I didn’t want to show my arms. I would wear layers, jackets—anything but a short sleeve shirt. I was depressed and I didn’t feel like I knew who I was anymore. I had let that insecurity take over and I didn’t want to let it win anymore. I was tired of being a slave to it.

Even though I have been involved in fitness I went up and down with my weight and didn’t quite find what really clicked with me until I found Turbo Jam™ and P90X™, and now, ChaLEAN™ Extreme. I was a dancer and had a pretty good physique growing up but didn’t understand the relationship that food and fitness had to create lasting success. I would skip meals and constantly get on the scale to see what the number said. I let the scale become an obsession and then started to skip even more meals. Later on I did the opposite and during a bout of depression ate whatever I wanted. Of course neither of those methods worked and, as a matter of fact, they made my weight and physique much worse!

I was looking for a fitness program I could do at home that wasn’t just your average “home video” workout. I found Turbo Jam™ through an infomercial and felt that I had found the FUN in fitness again! After the first workout I knew I was right! It totally fit my personality and the intensity was there that I hadn’t found in other home fitness programs before. The videos, nutrition guide, encouragement and an ENTIRE community of people wanting to help me reach my goals and stay accountable in a fun way. I had never had this support before and I knew I was on to something good! Beachbody has created programs, nutritional guides and supplements that present an entire packaged plan that all you do is follow to get results! Wow!

It was then that Beachbody introduced me to an entire line of fitness programs, products, supplements and genuine people that have taught me that I don’t need a gym membership, a magic pill, or any gimmick or gadget to get in shape. I needed to put my health first, take responsibility for my wellbeing and really commit to changing my lifestyle with quality fitness programs and healthy foods.

I loved Turbo Jam™ so much that I got certified to teach it! Since then I have found a love for ALL of the Beachbody programs and come to understand the quality and passion that Beachbody puts into what they do; and boy am I glad they do—awesome results for me AND you! I have dived into P90X and LOVE the intensity and especially the results! Seriously, Beachbody programs give you everything you need to succeed; you just have to push play and make it happen. It’s like having a personal trainer in your home!
