There is a new app called Eat Right 90. This is a good app for tracking your daily intake. It is not a stand alone app. You definately need to use it with the p90x diet plan. It does not explain the plan, what a block is, or what makes up a block. It simply outlines what you should, and tracks how many blocks you consume, which is fine. I would have liked to see it have a little more data. Like if I am eating a 6 oz chicken breast, how many protein blocks is that? Or better yet, Today I had a chicken and vegitable bowl with brown rice from Tokyo Joes. It would be nice if the App told me how many blocks that was for each category. But I can figure it out on my own. It costs $1.99.

It's not a good idea to double up two workouts like that, and I would not suggest it.

People miss days here and there- don't worry about it affecting your results, because you will push hard through those other workouts. Missing one day isn't that uncommon. Sometimes if I miss a workout, I tack in onto the end of my 90-day rotation.
Congrats for your commitment. P90X is an amazing program and one of the most intense I have ever done. When you are just starting out it is not a great idea to do doubles. You could do plyo tomorrow and pick up with the next workout in the rotation the next day. Chest and back is a very intense workout and does work your whole upper body, but I know how you feel, I do not like to miss a workout or mess up my rotation.

My best advice to you would be to listen to your body. If you feel spry and ready for an afternoon workout, add it into the mix but don't push yourself to hard. I recently became a coach with beachbody and have completed 2 rounds of P90X and if you take it day by day and follow the nutrition and basic routine you will love the results!

When I woke up this morning I was just a little sore – the good soreness of a body that has been challenged rather than the Oh My God what did I do soreness which I initially felt. I just finished my 2nd week of P90X and I have turned the corner so I made a contribution today.

My small success is bittersweet because I heard this weekend that a friend of mine who has a 4-year-old daughter and a 6-year-old son went on hospice. Over the past year, he has fought a valiant battle against a brain tumor but he is losing.

As a result of Beachbody Programs we are all rejoicing in this marvelous shell that we have been given. Yes, some of us want to improve its current state whereas others are happy to take our clothes off; but we are all glad to have bodies that we can be proud of when we treat it right. Our bodies are truly amazing and blood is the life supporting fluid that it creates. Scientists have created synthetic blood, but it does not measure up to the real stuff. People who need blood can only get it from other people like you and me.

While we are throwing karate kicks, twisting like monkeys, squeezing out chin ups and doing an ungodly amount of pushups; my friend (who ran a half-marathon 16 months ago) can no longer walk and needs help to go to the bathroom.

I went on a program of regularly donating blood several years ago. Human nature is funny. Last time I made a contribution, the tech told me that almost all people who go on a regular blood contribution program do it as a result of a family member or close friend having a need at one time. That is why I give. Why does it have to get personal to wake us up?

So why am I posting this here?

Because we all are relatively healthy and I am thankful for that.

Here is a link for those who are interested:

http://www.givelife2.org/donor/default.asp

Thank you
bmeister
