I was going to take the next week as a rest week, but I think I need to keep going.

So far I have completed 6 weeks of Slim in 6, took a week off, and today just finished a 4 week Advanced Rotation for Turbo Jam.

Starting Monday, I'm beginning the TMT, Accelerated Results 4 week rotation.

I have four little children and also homeschool, so I am pressed for time. My youngest is only 7 months old and because of his three older siblings and their schedules, I have a difficult time being able to squeeze in these workouts and since the school year is starting up, thought it'd be best to go with TMT for now.

Having supportive threads is what helped get me through--knowing there were others right alongside helped tremendously.

I hope to have more folks join me for the next month. emoticon

Welcome, MamaLiz!

You're gonna love TMT! They are short, difficult and effective! They will get you results! I started out with it a year ago, did it for about 6 weeks and then on to TJ-LOVE IT!

You sound like you'd be a perfect fit over on the Working Mom's thread, though you don't have to be working or a mom to participate-everyone is welcome! It's a great bunch of women who support, motivate each other. CoachLizzy and co. are a wealth of knowledge! Hope to see you there!

I hope you love TMT as much as we all do!

Keep us postedemoticon

Hi MamaLiz - I think I may join you in starting TMT tomorrow! I haven't worked out in the last few months because of health problems, and I have been floundering around trying to decide what I wanted to start back with. I have been using Leslie Sansone's walking DVDs lately, but I am ready to start something else. May as well be TMT since it is what I started out with originally.

I am looking at the advanced rotation and will give it a go tomorrow!

Hi, Kim!!

I'd love to join you in this rotation. I'm involved in several threads, but with each program I've done, it's those smaller/close-knit threads which really helped keep me motivated.

I'm very familiar with WATP and used them throughout all of my pregnancies. I really do love them but need more toning. SI6 got me into decent shape, but I still need to lose about 15 pounds and tone up a lot more than I am.

I'll join in over here too. I like the smaller groups too, I still haven't finished reading all the posts over on Mar'tay's thread yet. I started round 2 yesterday with Total Body and Lower Body, today is going to be cardio and yoga (might have to do 2 yoga's with the way my legs are feeling right now).

Ooo Ooo ... can I join too?! I just started TMT today too!! I did cardio & low body - wow! What a workout! I am sweating like CRAZY!!! I am doing the lean jean plan ... 10 days to a smaller jean size -- not sure if it will actually work, but I'll try! emoticon

Anyway, I'm a mom of 4 girls - all home from school for the summer. I almost feel like it's easier for me to get my regular workouts in when they're back in school, not when they're home! We do a lot of traveling over the summer, so that makes it harder too.

My 20th reunion is coming up in Oct., so I'm going to REALLY concentrate on my workouts & my nutrition for the next 3 months!

Looking forward to working with you all! emoticon

So glad to see all the folks joining in. emoticon I like all the info on the longer threads, but I like getting to know people, so I'm thrilled to have new folks join.

Today I'm doing Upper Body, Cardio Core, and Cardio. I haven't done it yet--I plan to do so at naptime.

Can't wait to get going. emoticon

BTW has anyone seen the infomercial in which the TMT women bought too-tight jeans at the start and then at the end, those too-tight jeans not only fit, but were way too big and baggy? I'm seriously considering doing this! I just may go out and buy a pair. I put on a pair the other day and the jeans buttoned but the muffin-top was so evident. It would be cool to just have them here at the house and see how they change each week. Or...I guess I could just save my money and try them on at the store each week. LOL

I just finished my first 3 workouts---Upper Body, Cardio Core (or Core Cardio), and Cardio. I burned 500 claories, according to my HRM. I like how it's really quick. 10 moves in 10 minutes--I like that. It really is over before I know it. It definitely didn't feel like 38 minutes (including disc change, etc) when it was over. This, I can live with and I could gauge how the baby was doing every 10 minutes, since I didn't have to commit to an entire 38 minutes at one time.

I haven't done my workouts yet, spent most of the morning in the doctor's office. I will do them later though. I am going to stick strictly with the rotation, so that means I will do Upper Body at some point today. Ugh, so not what I wanted to start with...LOL. I may try to do a walking DVD as well, probably just a mile.

MamaLiz - I have some of those kinds of jeans already! Probably several of them!! Once I get going with my workouts, I will start trying them on periodically to see how they are fitting. I think it would be awesome if I could finally get back into them.

And having said all that, I suppose I could introduce myself. Obviously my name is Kim, and I am a single mom to a not so young daughter anymore, she's 24!!! Yikes! I started working out this past December with TMT and did one rotation. I then moved on to TJ with no real workout schedule, just did what I felt like it each day. To make a long story short, I start having health problems and I stopped my workouts completely because I had no energy to sustain them. Barely had the energy to just function. I am now feeling better, not quite 100%, but I am hoping I will get there soon!

And TMT does the main thing for me that I had anticipated it to do. It gave me the motivation to work out on a regular basis without spending 45 minutes to an hour doing it. I was looking for something to get me into the habit of working out, and it definitely did that. Okay, sorry to write a book here, was not my intent!!!!

I hope you're feeling better, Kim. emoticon

Are you going to try to do more than one DVD, just the upper body, or see how you feel between each workout?

I was surprised how quickly the first workout went by. That was great. I hope it continues. It looks to me as though people saw good results after 90 days of doing just one workout each day, so the good part of that is that people did get benefits after only 10 minutes, it just took longer. So I hope to get through all three workouts each day (I hope) and see how I feel after the first rotation.

Kim, did we get that upper body workout in? If you want the basic schedule for the orginal workouts and then slowly wade into those advanced ones let me know. I can scan it and email it to you.

I did Cardio, Abs, and Yoga. I couldn't resist a couple bites of a donut one of my coworkers left so I threw in the abs to try to make up for my indulgence.

I didn't even consider the Lean Jeans plan because it didn't offer enough nutrition for me. It may work for day people but when you work nights sometimes a snack is the difference in staying awake and napping at work. The frown on cops sleeping on the job emoticon

I'll introduce myself too seeing as the site doesn't allow you to look at profiles from the boards. I'm married with a 2yo son and 5 dogs, I got a lot chubby during the pregnancy and I'd finally had enough when I saw I was a few pounds away from 200. I'm down to 181 now and lost an inch off my waist so far, so I'm happy with the program for now. I lost 15 of those pounds doing weightwatchers with my wife then the rest with TMT. I'm feeling stronger and all around better (so long as I get sleep). I've pretty much quit drinking pop which was a big thing for me, thank god coffee is ok emoticon God bless Keurig and their little single serve coffee machine.

Hi, firecop!! You have a very interesting sounding family!

I've been doing WW since my dr. gave me the green light after I had my last baby. I've only lost 12 pounds since the first week of February and most of that weight came off when I did Slim in 6.

I think WW is a great program, but it wasn't until I amped up the activity that the weight really started coming off. emoticon

Liz - thanks, I am feeling a bit better.. my leg still aches a lot but I am just trying to push through it. I think for right now I am going to just stick with one TMT workout per day and try to add a walking DVD to it on the days I feel like it. Maybe later on I can start doing two. When I say I am out of shape, I'm not kidding!!

Dan - I did get my upper body workout in, plus I did a 1 mile walking DVD, so yay for me!! emoticon I have the basic rotation too, but I figured if I started with it, by the time it was time for the next rotation, I wouldn't want to start the advanced. Thanks for the offer though. emoticon Oh,and I had to laugh when you said you got chubby during the pregancy LOL. I bet your wife appreciated you gaining weight along with her, right? Now that's what I call support! emoticon

I have done WW many, many times in the past and it is definitely a good program. I want to join back but I can't really afford it right now. I think it may be a bit cheaper to just do it online, but then you don't get to go to the meetings.

I like the online version, I'm a cop, I'm unsociable by nature emoticon

I should start logging my foods again to make sure I'm behaving.

And yeah it's a lively household. There's 4 wiemaraners and a miniature daschund. Then the little boy who is a little menace add's to the fun factor.

Kim, my wife I'm sure appreciated it however now that I'm cracking down on the junk coming into the house she's less than thrilled. Cookies are my kryptonite, so what does she buy cookies, lots of cookies. I think she's trying to sobatage my weightloss. I'm doing really well this week though, I haven't had any even though there is 3 varieties in the cupboard.

And congrats on finishing the first workout.

I am unsociable by nature too, usually prefer my own company to everyone else's. Wow, that hurt a bit admitting that. LOL

My weakness is chips, any kind, any flavor. I can sit and eat an entire bag in one night. I do like the Baked Lay's and Ruffles though, so I can at least still have chips while cutting down on fat and calories. My eating today wasn't the best. I had a doctor's appt this morning and didn't eat breakfast before I went, so by the time I got out I was starving. Somehow my car automatically drove to Sonic and I wound up with a burger and fries. I did do better the rest of the day though, had spaghetti with lean ground beef and whole wheat pasta.

Hi MamaLiz and all! May I join this thread?

Since everyone has already introduced themselves - here is a brief intro of me. I am 37 yrs old and mom of 2 boys (5 and almost 1 year.) I was supposed to start yesterday with TMT, but hit the snooze instead! But here I am this morning getting started. I had previously done SI6 for 2 rounds, then P90 for almost 1 round. Found out I was pregnant with my 2nd child and we had some problems. I went on a "self prescribed no workouts" because I was afraid of losing my baby. Well - I had him last August and we are about to celebrate his 1 year old b-day (he is very healthy btw) and I'm still not back to a regular workout routine. I had started TMT for a short stint before the summer, but my schedule got crazy during a vacation and never got back into a routine. I feel very "blah" and NEED to get back to working out! I NEED to reconnect with people on these boards! emoticon

See you all tomorrow!!

Welcome Oki!!!! Just get in a workout when you can. emoticon

Firecop, I LOVE miniature dachshunds! I had one for 12 years before she had to be put to sleep. emoticon Every time I see a mini dachshund, I want to snatch it up. She was a great watch dog, as well. emoticon

Kim, your plan sounds good, girl!!! Keep it up. emoticon

I haven't done my workout yet today--yesterday I did it during naptime and that worked out well.

My obliques are definitely sore today!

I'm pretty active on the threads I begin, because I really need the accountability, so I'll be back soon emoticon

KPP emoticon

Those run, hop squats are sooo hard, but I LOVE how I feel it in my thighs. emoticon So cool. emoticon

Welcome Okie! It is always nice to see new faces around here. Well, new to me anyway. emoticon You sound like you have been having a lot of success with the BB workouts. And I agree about the need to reconnect to people on the boards, which is exactly the reason I am back. Haven't been around in about three months or so, but I am happy to be back and finally able to start working out again. Never realized how much I missed this place!

Liz - way to go on the three workouts today! You are gonna be in shape in no time! I haven't done mine yet, but I will tonight, probably around 10p or so. Still plan to do one workout, which tonight will be Cardio. Still plan to do a 1 mile walking DVD too, so that will be two cardios for the day.. not too bad.

3 workouts Liz with 2 cardios ouch--I decided to do the Power 90 Fat Burner today and push my rest day to tomorrow. I like to do that workout on one of my pass days so I'm not too tuckered out for work. Those run hop's kill, but I think the lolasa and mountain climbers are the worst.

Kim--how we doing today?

I made a tasty smoothie using V8 V Fusion, yogurt, and some frozen fruit and ice cubes. According to the Weightwatchers recipe builder it's only a couple points.
