Tom's Power90 trip
9/18/09 6:37 AM
I Started the Power90 program Monday September 14, 2009 and I love it!! I am so sore and I feel like a million bucks at the same time!! I am following the diet handbook and all their recommendations to the letter. I am 6'2 and weigh well over 300 lbs. My goal is to get down to 230 lbs and start the px90 program. I want to get into better shape than when I was in the Marines!

As soon as I buy a scale I will give my actual weight...lol

Congratulations on starting out with Power 90!!! I love this program too, and it is where I started 2 years ago. I lost the most weight in the second month of the program, and then I started to really tone up in the third month. But, even in the first month, I could still see and feel some great changes happening. Tony is an excellent trainer, and you will LOVE P90X as well. I love all the little jokes he tells to keep your mind off the "pain." LOL!

Keep up the great work and I can't wait to see your success pictures when you are finished!

Day 20 and I feel great!!! I am down to 293 lbs now. I am into this program 110%. I think the main key besides pushing play every day is the diet. I follow that hand book to the letter and I have been eating from the first two tiers for 18 days. I had peanut butter with my celery the first two days. I have replaced that with hummus. And I’m down one pants size, and ½ collar size.

Thanks Kristin. I get on the scale every day even though they tell you not to. I t doesn't bother me when I gain a few because I know it is going to come off in the end. The last few days i was going back and forth between 290 and 292. The other day I was 289! Pushing play every day is a must but following the diet is the main key!

It’s going well Kristin. Thanks for checking on me. My weight has stayed the same for a few days now (287) but that doesn’t bother me. I feel great. I over slept this morning and for the first time I wasn’t able to work out before 5:30 am. I was real pissed. I was gonna skip but I decided to do the workout when I got home at 3:30. I was glad I did. I started sweat 3-4 today. Holy cow!! I feel like I did when I started over 30 days ago on 1-2. My arms and chest are like jello. Lol. The ab ripper 200 isn’t a joke either. This is awesome!! I haven’t felt this good since I got out of the Marine Corps. Still got a long way to go if I want to get into the 2011 calendar…lol

TOM!! So many great things you have written today! I am so excited for you! Congrats on moving up to 3-4! That's terrific! I remember when I moved up to 3-4 the first time. I was so stressed about moving up and not being able to do it all. Such good times!

I love your goal of 2011 calendar!!! ROFL!! That's awesome! emoticon emoticon

Great job getting your workout done this afternoon. I guess your body really needed that extra sleep this morning! I'm a morning exerciser, too. I just have a tough time getting motivated, if I have to do it later in the day. Great job.

Looking forward to your pics tomorrow!!

Tom-
Thanks for the inspiration. I'm currently sitting at 320...heaviest I've ever weighed. I truely feel I've hit rock bottom with regards to my health and mindset.
After reading your posts and seeing the pics...the proof is there for me to get after it.
Just purchased Power90 and ready to get my true self back.
Thanks again,
Dan

Thanks for doing that Kristen and thanks for the encouragement. It really helps.

Good for you Dan! None of this is easy but you will feel great once you start. Every morning I wake up I don’t feel like getting out of bed and exercising but I do because I feel like a million bucks when I get done. The diet is the key to the weight loss. And the only time I get hungry is around 9:00 at night but that feeling goes away whether you eat or not. I follow that diet hand book for all my meals and keep to the first two tiers of Michi’s ladder. The food is a little more expensive but we are saving money because I am eating a ¼ of what I was eating before. Keep in touch and if you want I will e-mail my diary of what I do and eat. I have been keeping track as of day one. Good luck! Tom

Tom that's awesome! I'm going to keep after your posts-we've got about an 8 lb difference. I started at 388-didn't get on this program until 308 and really didn't stick with it. I started back this morning and have been reading through some posts and find your transformation in 37 days incredible. Good luck to you sir! I've sent you a buddy request so I can stick near you.

I'm ready to see the 60 and 90 day results as well!!
