When I was overweight I used to pray and ask God "Why did you make me fat? Why do I gain weight this way? Am I being punished?"
I would cry at night hating my body, hating that I gained weight like a man, feeling very unattractive and unfeminine. It was a very dark time in my life.

I was the girl people loved to hate. Center of attention, ate whatever I wanted and never gain a pound! All that changed after the birth of my second child. I reached an all time high of over 200lbs. I was depressed, lonely, my skin was broken out, my self esteem was in the toilet, and I lived in sweats. I lived like this for 4 years.
During that time my husband and I attempted without success to conceive a third child. After discovering Turbo Jam I not only dropped 40lbs in 6 months, but conceived our 3rd child Caleb.

The pregnancy started out well. I was eating healthy and exercising. For me personally I have to do both. If I don't exercise mt eating is in the toilet. Unfortunately a few months into the program I developed debilitating round ligament pain which progressively got worse as I piled on the pounds. I could no longer work out and slipped back into unhealthy habits.

The bigger I got the frumpier and more depressed I become. I gained a whopping 72lbs and topped the scales at 236.

I was mortified. What was worse is after several years of separation my mother, father in law, brother and sister came to visit me shortly after Calebs birth (they live on the other side of the country). They didn't even recognize me.

I decided that I was not going to piss around around experimenting. I needed to get this weight off and fast. I went to what I knew worked. I followed the Beachbody eating guidelines and dropped 38lbs the first 6 weeks postpartum. I started doing Turbo Jam and Hip Hop Abs as soon as the doctor gave me the ok.

I was nursing at the time which slowed my weightloss down quite a bit as my appetite was so ravenous I basically made up for what I burned by eating more! Over the next several months I was about to get down to the 180's. I stalled for 8 weeks.
Having previously done the Master Cleanse I knew that my body was just not feeling right. I maintained a 10lbs weight loss from the cleanse and my metabolism was reset. I highly advocate the Master Cleanse.

I started ChaLEAN Extreme 2 weeks after completing my cleanse and in the first 2 weeks have already dropped 5 1/2 inches from my torso, 2% body fat and 4 1/2lbs! I am now currently just 4lbs away from my pre-pregnancy weight and 28lbs from my ultimate goal.

The biggest keys for my success where:

Portion control: You don't have to eat anything weird or starve yourself, just watch your portions. Measure and everything in the beginning and track your calories. I average 1500-1800 calories a day.

Knowing My Vice: Everyone has a vice. You know that one thing that drives you crazy? avoid it until you reach goal. Those vice foods many of us just CANNOT eat in moderation and can quickly derail any progress we make. Bread is my vice. I do not eat bread or white carbs and if I do it's once in a blue moon. I eat LOTS of raw fruits and veggies instead for snacks.

Tweek Your Recipes: You don't have to live on celery sticks and onion slices! Eat what you normally eat, just change the ingredients. Use lean meat instead of fatty. Whole grain instead of white bread or pasta, invest in a George Foreman grill rather than frying. Use cooking spray instead of oil. (I have more tips, feel free to contact me because this is getting a bit long LOL!)

Find a workout you love and do it every day. For me, it's Turbo Jam. For you it may be Hip Hop Abs or Rockin' Body. What I love about Beachbody is we have tons of "workouts" that don't feel like workouts. If you love it you'll do it. If you do it you'll eat better, if you eat better you'll lose weight. Simple right?

I am now on track to be in the best shape of my life thanks to Beachbody! 2009 is my year to shine!
