I have always been an active person. Growing up I was in gymnastics,
cheerleading, volleyball, and other physical curricular activities outside of
school. I continued living an active lifestyle as a young adult even through
college. My Sophomore year in college I joined the Army
Reserves to help pay for college tuition and serve my country. I thought I was
in pretty good shape and bootcamp was tough at first but you get to the
point in your training where you WANT the Drill Sergeant to drop you and
make you do 20 push-ups. Bootcamp was both a mental and physical
challenge I accepted each day I trained.

Shortly after college I got married, had my first baby at 25 and lost all the
weight easily the first month. During that first year as new parents I was
traveling to my part-time teaching job and working two other part-time jobs
while my husband was finishing up graduate school. We some how found a
way to make our hectic schedules work. The following year I was teaching
full-time and my husband found a job. We moved to where he worked and I
commuted to work. Exercise was not consistent. Five years later we decided to
have another child. I was only a few pounds heavier this time around when I
became pregnant. After giving birth a second time the baby weight took a
little bit longer to get rid of but I still bounced back into shape quickly. We
had moved three times since the birth of our first child and we were getting
ready to move once again to be closer to my husband's new job. For the next
four years I continued to commute but this time I commuted one hour each
way daily to my teaching job. I had zero time for exercise. I was eating junk,
not exercising, and seeing the effects slowly creep up on me.

I finally decide after 10 years of teaching and commuting to a school district I
loved it was time for me to get a job closer to home. I did just that. I took a
teaching position closer to home and that's when I really started to gain
weight. You would think being closer to home, having less commute time
would help me get my eating and exercise back on track. Well, I no longer
drove a rural route to work I was now in the city and found myself driving to
McDonald's every morning for my daily breakfast burrito and a medium Coke.
I also started eating school lunches, junk from the vending machines,
another pop, and by time I got home I was raiding the kitchen for food. I
packed on so much weight that year that it scared me. I weighed as much as I
did at nine months pregnant (130 pounds). I should have been looking
forward to my summer off but I was depressed due to my weight gain. My
jeans didn't fit and after looking at a few pictures that were taken of me I was
shocked.

The first week of my summer vacation in 2004 I decided
enough was enough and it was time to quit "wishing" the weight would
disappear and do something about it. I got up at 5AM and started power
walking. Also, I joined Weight Watchers that very same day. By October I had
reached my goal weight and made Lifetime status. I got rid of all my very
snug size 4's (should have been in a size 6) and bought new pants in size 2. I
started walking 2x per day and continued to lose weight. I learned a lot about
portion control and started educating myself more about health and fitness.

January of 2005, I saw the infomercial for Turbo Jam and ordered it
immediately. I was hooked after the first time I pushed play. I had a gym
membership and a shelf full of other workouts just collecting dust begging
for me to push play. But Turbo Jam was different...it motivated me to push
play. For the next four months all I did was Turbo Jam. I maintained my ideal
healthy weight and didn't know what to expect but Turbo Jam totally
transformed my body from head to toe. Even though I was at the same
weight because of Turbo Jam I found myself buying new pants again because
my size 2's were too big! I had burned the fat and gained muscle. I went on
to host a Turbo Jam House Party, hold Turbo Jam sessions after school a few
times a week, and continue to spread the Turbo Jam word. Anyone who has
borrowed my Turbo Jam dvds are usually hooked and soon after buy their
own set.

I love Beachbody and I own all of the Turbo Jam Series, Ten Minute Trainer,
Power 90, P90X, Hip Hop Abs, Slim in 6, Shaun T.'s Fit Kids Club & Get Real,
Yoga Booty Ballet and Kathy Smith's Project You 2.

When I'm not following a specific training cycle I like to mix-up my
Beachbody dvds for a custom workout. I attended Turbo Kick Camp 2008
and it inspired me to become a TK certified instructor. I am also signed up for
TK Camp 2009!

I am currently doing ChaLean Extreme. I am loving the muscle definition,
strength, and inches lost. I am looking forward to another round of CLX!

I am passionate about health and fitness and will continue to educate
myself, eat clean, and exercise with purpose. Thank you Million Dollar Body
for the outstanding service and products you continue to offer. I am proud to
be part of the TEAM!

Update: Currently doing ChaLean Extreme and signed up for Turbo Kick Camp
