Hello gang. My name is Jason Scheff and I am the tenor lead vocalist/bass
player for the band Chicago. I've been with the group since 1985 having
replaced Peter Cetera when he went solo.

I was a client of Tony Horton's from 1989 through 1992 and he got me into
elite physical condition. Many photos and videos from that era circulate the
internet and I used to look at them longingly

I was in the best shape of my life back in 1992 thanks to having the BEST personal trainer on the planet. Yes, I was fortunate enough to have Tony Horton as my trainer back in the day. So I've been to this dance before. I knew how to do it. Knew EXACTLY how to do it but just couldn't. Why? I had no support system. It was me all on my own.

I had gone up and down over the years as a yo-yo but what was particularly tough for me is I was doing it in the public eye. Why my weight would go up there were PLENTY of photos and videos out there floating around to capture my heft. I just chalked it off to being a middle aged guy and thought that was my lot in life. Having been there and experienced it all those years ago I felt lucky to have at least had a taste of it at one time.

Well, I fell back in with my friend Tony and started P90X and my life changed. I know people throw that phrase around a lot and it sometimes doesn't really mean what it says literally but it literally changed for me. I'm writing this on the eve of my 46th birthday here on tour with Chicago in Osaka, Japan. I can honestly say I'm standing on the doorstep of being in even better shape than where I was in my late 20's and into my early 30's.

What's even more beautiful and special about it this time is the *intent* of it all. I'm not trying to get myself *thin* for a television appearance or a summer tour. No, this is finally for me, and my family. I GET it now. This is about being a man who is getting BETTER each year. Not going the other way. My work is light years better and easier than it had been over the last several years. And now I've gotten to the point where I'm getting lots of letters and emails from people who have their own success stories in fitness and tell me I had something to do with it. The fact I shared what was going on with me helped motivate them. THAT is the money.

So where I am now is to continue on this wonderful journey of becoming better and better each year and to help those along that want to change their lives as well. I'm here for you. Just ask...
