Day 3 of P90S

Well, today will be my 3rd day of P90X and as of right now :O I'm starting to drag but I'm still ready to work out.  As soon as my workout partner gets here were going to hit it!

I'm a little sore in my legs today and still sore in my arms and shoulders from day one but nothing outrageous.  Overall I feel pretty good but I know I need to be eating more and that is probably why I am feeling drained.

It's been a busy day today but I'm making time to work out.  Gotta keep pushing play.

I'm taking a big step today :).  I am quitting smoking.  I'm going to try the electric cigarette and see how that works.  I've had two friends who have been successful on it and now it's my turn.  I think it will work.  I'll let you know tomorrow how I'm doing with that.  Hopefully it will keep the grumpiness down :)

Day 2 of P90X

Today is my second day of P90X and I can't wait to start it.  It's plyo today!  My coach and I are doing it together, every day.

I am so grateful to have my best friend as my coach it kind of gives me a leg up in the support area :).  We help each other eat right, take our supplements and make sure we push play every day.  

After, yesterday I feel pretty good.  Yesterday was Chest & Back and Ab Ripper.  I have to be careful doing ab work and shoulder work do to rotator cuff and lumbar issues.  But I can still do it.  So long as I'm not feeling "pain" when I'm exercising I know I'm ok.  I feel a little bit of stiffness in those areas but nothing to worry about.  I think it's good and will make me stronger in those areas.

I'm excited today... let's hope I keep this excitement throughout the complete 90 days.  When I'm done I will do it again or find another program to do.  One thing I've learned since being with Beachbody and life lessons in general... you can't just do it once and go back to old habits, it has to be for ever.  You can't just do one program lose the weight and think that once your done the weight will stay off.  It will only stay off if you continue to exercise in some shape or form and eat nutritious and healthy foods... and don't over indulge :)

Oh The Mighty Rotator Cuff...

So, much for getting back on the "X".  My son was playing around a few months ago and he hit me in the shoulder...I finally realized it wasn't getting any better and was probably getting worse so I went into the Doc.  Now I am going to physical therapy and trying desperately to not use my right arm.  

                                  Sigh...it is very difficult to do this.

So, tomorrow I am going to start running.  I should be able to do that without using my arms too - too much, and I will start using Total Body Solutions after I have it approved by my doc.

We all have challenges I suppose and mine seems to be, that I'm getting older and  my bones aren't as strong as they used to be.

...sounds like I need to start taking some supplements which will counteract the weakening of my joints bones.  

 

No Pain-No Fame

Well here it is, the middle of September and I still haven't  gotten on a serious workout program.  I've done a little bit of everything but nothing serious.

 

Today I'm making my plans to start my workout regimine. 

O.K., so I really liked my last two programs; ChaLean Extreme and P90X, both did wonders for my body and I am really interested in trying Insanity.  However, I think I need to get into a little better shape before I try Insanity.  

If any of you have seen Insanity you know it looks to be quite well... Insane!  I don't know how long I could make it with out pulling something and I don't want to get started only to spend two weeks recovering my old behind.

So, I think I'm going to plan to do the P90X workout.  I liked it best, overall.  I don't think I completed 1 week of doing each excercise every day, like I was supposed to.  I still had great results from it, so I'm going with P90X again and this time I'll stick to it exactly and see what it gets me.
