I'm changing my New Balances back to Reeboks

Let me tell you... 4 hours of walking in New Balance cross trainers is the worst idea ever.  I mean it.  I'm going back to Reeboks.

My feet hurt.  My ankles are grinding.  My left hip is telling me it intends to go on strike and my back has not said a kind thing to me since 4:30 - 5:00 this afternoon.  Much as I like a good stroll, I also like to walk without the pain.

The New Balances are going to be retired.  I want Reebok and I want air cushion "technology" and an ergonomic sole.

I crossed the 300 pound threshhold!

For anyone watching and reading, I made my first milestone.  I crossed the 300 pound threshhold.  Now I don't expect too many folks to really get excited but considering I was 325 when I started the program way back in June and I was starting to lose weight just to hope to get started with P90, this is all important to me.

I have not been under 300 in over 5 years.  When I get to 275, I will not have been that since 2001-2002.

These are important to me.  They mean I will be able to get rid of some of the meds I must be on just to keep the stress from overloading my heart.  Every pound I lose means I am that much closer to being taken off the meds.  It means one less day of being in chronic ache because of the strain on my joints.  It means another year I can hang around and do things and I can do more things.

I saw what P90 and P90X did for people who were way heavier than I.  They are my inspirations.  They are my beacons in the night.  When the time comes, I'll be a beacon too.  And I will be the living, breathing truth that it is possible to turn things around for the better.

So here is to crossing 300 pounds and on my way down to where I am supposed to be.

Huzzah!  Huzzah!  Huzzah!!!

The weight loss yoyo

Here I am again riding up and down on the weight loss yoyo.  This is my fault and not the program.  See I hate dieting.  I really do.  Were I to follow the deit in the program, I'd be lossing more weight and it would be steady.  Instead, I am not following the diet and I have been losing and blossoming.  It's not helping that my husband won't shop for the right foods.  On the plus side, I have gone back to watching what I eat withthe occassional slip to "bad foods" like carnitas and refried beans... Or quesadillas.  We will not talk about Chinese buffet or KFC...  Yeah... I do have my moments.  Chocolate and hot cocoa are another evil as is Coke... I am finding myself less tolerant of it and going to tonic water more often.

So bad eating choices are my doing.  But I am eating less and losing the weight because I am watching things.  I see 300.  I'm looking for 299.  I reach it and I will be ecstatic.  Then I can really begin my journey to 275.

More aches and pains.

What gets me is it is not part of P90 but the weather and being just plain tired.  This is putting a damper to my enthusiasm.  I should not feel like my knees want to grind and tear but they do.  I'm going to look forward to the weather settling down so I can work out without gritting my teeth.  I was looking forward to the burn... Not the grind.

Power Yoga is *still* my bane!

And it is royally kicking my ass...  Problem is I have a lot of ass to get kicked and I would really rather not kill my wrists doing this.  But it's all part of the program.  It's a shame that I was never good at cardio... Great with weights but cardio is all but killing me here.  Please, there has got to be a better alternative to this... (The yoga, I mean.)
