In 2006, I was my heaviest during my pregnancy with twins. My heaviest weight was 176 lbs during pregnancy and immediately after their birth. Before beginning P90X I had worked hard and had lost 50 lbs, putting me back to my pre-pregnancy weight, but my body was not the same as it was before pregnancy. I had lost muscle tone and gained several inches of fat. I still could not fit into my pre-pregnancy clothes, even though the scale said I was back to my pre-pregnancy weight. I was no longer comfortable in a swimming suit or wearing shorts or tank tops(summer clothes). The work-out routines that had me in great shape in the past seemed to no longer have the same effect on my body after my pregnancy. My short term goal and initial motivating event was planned a family vacation with our friends to Cancun in June '09, just 4 months before we decided to order P90X. My goal was to have a body that I would be comfortable wearing a bikini and summer clothes (and look good)! So by the time I got started with P90X I had just over 90 days until Cancun....

Day 30 update: I feel great! I can't believe the increase in my energy level. I love waking up every morning and pushing play! I notice I am gaining in strength. No big physical changes just yet, but I'm expecting to see some physical results the end of 60 days, because I'm stepping it up and jumping into doubles now!!

Day 60 Update: Ok here come the beginning of results showing through. The layers of fat are beginning to peel off and the hints of toned lean muscles are now slightly visible. A few people have asked me if I'm lifting weights and another described me as "fit and lean". WOW! Me? Lean & fit??? Ooohhh yah... I love P90X!!

Day 90 Update: Woo Hoo! I did it! I am an official P90X Graduate! My body fat% dropped 5% and what a difference it has made on my frame! I am now firmer, stronger, tighter & toner than I was before pregnancy. Some of the small victories are that instead of re-sizing my wedding ring- I RE-SIZED MY BODY! And after three and a half years I can finally wear my wedding ring again! We went on vacation and I WORE A BIKINI WITHOUT A WRAP, SKIRT OR BOARD SHORTS!! I also went shopping, IN MY OWN CLOSET, and can put on the little dress & jeans that I wore on my honeymoon- 12 years ago! I did have one problem that I did not foresee coming- and that is that most of the clothes that I thought I looked good in years ago, now no longer fit either! Instead of hugging me in all the right places, they are baggy everywhere and falling off my hips. My husband told me one day, as I was leaving for work in an outfit that used to be a favorite years ago, that I looked like I was wearing my Daddy's clothes! It may be a common problem to go shopping for clothes in larger sizes, but its a different "problem" all together to shopping because you need smaller sizes!!

Besides the physical changes that have taken place, I feel better! I have more energy, less fatigue, am more confident and much more active with my children. My friends and family have noticed the changes and now many of them are making changes and getting fit too!
