I'm a World Champion powerlifter currently competing in the master 40-44 class. I wanted to lean out a bit and try something different. I'm starting a second round of P90X. I was not as focused the first time, and now I'm ready to GET SERIOUS!! I want to share my experience and help others reach their goals!

I had never stepped inside a gym until 1996, at the age of 28. I smoked, drank, and never really watched what I ate. I went through a rough divorce and wanted to start fresh. I met a guy who was a powerlifter. I went to a competition and there was one female lifter competing. I was instantly intrigued and began training the next week. Since then, my best lifts are a 500 pound squat, a 250 pound bench press, and a 451 pound deadlift. I have achieved numerous CA state and World records. I have been lifting for over 10 years now and although I am muscular, I was feeling a bit "bulky" and wanted to take a year off from competition. I'm not a bodybuilder, so when I compete, it only matters how much weight I lift, now how I look. I was approached by friends of ours who are Beachbody coaches, wanting to see if I was interested in becoming a coach. I got P90X, and it is amazing. I'm not used to doing all this cardio and fast paced moves. I absolutely love it! It is definitely the hardest workout I've ever done. My body fat has never been below 19%, and I just had my body fat done via a Hydrostatic test and was thrilled to see that I am at 14%! I'm down to a size six in pants and I'm working toward having that awesome bikini wearing body. I think that once I get back into competitive lifting again, all my hard work with the Beachbody products will just add to my abilities. Although I don't have this huge transformation on the outside, I'd like to encourage other athletes like me, as well as others who are serious about being healthy, to try something different. Women at work ask me all the time what they should eat, and how they should exercise. Before Beachbody, I was just "a weightlifter in decent shape" or that "athletic girl in the Accounting department". Being a powerlifter, people DO NOT want to train the way I do. Now that I'm involved with Beachbody, I can share my workouts and I now have confidence to let others know that they CAN get these results too. I am really enjoying sharing this with others and helping them reach their personal fitness goals.
