I LOVE to eat and I HATE to exercise! So what am I doing here? And why am I a coach?

I'm 35 years old, married with three kids, and live in Lincoln, Nebraska, where I work as the "Computer Guy" for a local high school and work some on the side to help a handful of clients with their home computers. I'm also actively involved in the Technical Ministry at our church. My main job is mostly

I'm plagued! It's true, I love to eat and I hate to exercise. Not a very good combination, I know. I love to eat things like cheeseburgers and fries! When that fast food restaurant has the promotion for the barbeque rib sandwich with fries, a second sandwich for a dollar, and that game that goes along with it, I cannot resist! Why do they try to feed me over 1,500 calories at once?! Candy bars and pop are conveniently located at every store I go to and they are easily and quickly consumed. I'm hungry (not really), I'll buy a snack! I'm doomed! I hate to exercise. My work may not be very physically demanding, but I work long, hard hours. When the alarm goes off in the morning, I have a tough choice to make: workout or get another hour of sleep. Which is easier? If I don't make the time in the morning, then it won't happen, because my day fills up real fast.

What's wrong with me? My ancestors weren't overweight and they ate whatever they wanted and lived seemingly long, healthy lives. They ate things like eggs and bacon for breakfast, bologna sandwiches on white bread with cake for lunch, and roast beef with mashed potatoes and gravy and pie with ice cream for supper. How come I can't eat the modern-day equivalents and be as healthy? Well, my ancestors were farmers and laborers. The men worked hard all day long, working the equivalent of Power 90 several times a day! The women worked hard taking care of the house and preparing meals where there was no such thing as fast, convenient food - everything was made from scratch. So, I figured that I had a choice to make. I could work like they worked so I could eat like they ate or I could live a much easier, leisurely life, eat healthy, and exercise more. My choice was simple - leisure sounded great!

But, before I made that choice, I tried having the best of both worlds. I ate whatever I wanted and exercised when I felt like it, which wasn't very often. I have struggled with my weight for as long as I can remember and have been riding the weight loss roller-coaster for just as long! Don't get me wrong - there were times when I knew I needed to exercise more, but I had never been able to stick with anything... weight lifting and football in high school, running and going to the gym in college, and too many diet and exercise programs to count as an adult. I even tried Power90 and Slim In 6 in the past with some success, but never stuck with it and the weight always came back along with few extra pounds. I had all but given up hope, believing that I would always be overweight.

Last April, after a conversation with my friend, Dereck, about Million Dollar Body, I knew that this was it! I was tired of being fat! I was tired of being winded at the top of a single flight of stairs, tired of avoiding the pool and being embarrassed to take off my shirt, and tired of dreading play time with my kids instead of enjoying their energy. I want my kids to remember a dad who was in the middle of it with them, not just watching from the sidelines! I went back to Power 90 and discovered a company that makes diet and exercise more fun!

In more ways than I ever thought possible, Beachbody products work! Since April, I've shrunk! I'm smaller now than I was in college and am in the best shape of my life! I am more self-confident and am starting to more actively enjoy my children. My wife (Leah33) is also working out and looks and feels better than I can ever remember (not that she ever looked bad before, but it sure is fun to be married to a hottie!) We both have more energy than ever and are enjoying spending it on our kids and each other.

I still have a lot of work to do, but I have never been so motivated to keep on track. I was pretty busy this Fall and I didn't find as much time as I should have for certain things in my life, but since Million Dollar Body has changed my entire mindset and lifestyle, I at least ate decent. And when I found I had more time on my hands, Tony was right there waiting for me! Thank you Million Dollar Body! By the way, I just started another round of Power 90 and started with Phase 3-4, so look out!
