I’m Alli Cormier, 47, from San Antonio.
In the beginning I just wanted to diet, lose some weight, and get back to my life, but now it’s a whole new lifestyle. My story began at 194lbs, 38% body fat, a 40 inch waist, 45.5 inch hips and a tight size 18. After multiple gadgets and attempts at losing weight that never worked, depression set in, my softball suffered and I had lost all faith in myself and who I was. Heart disease, diabetes, and arthritis runs in my family and my 25 years of smoking put me at great risk for not being around much longer. After 15 years of 2.5 packs a day and my eating completely out of control, I decided to “get serious” about weight loss. My husband suggested I check out the Beachbody message boards.

Thanks to consistent hard work, Beachbody fitness programs (P90, P90X, Turbo Jam, and The Master Series), supplements (women's health formula, slimming formula, activit fat burning, joint support, P90X recovery formula, P90 Protein powder, meal replacement, and Women's performance formula), and eating healthy, I released 55 lbs. Not to mention the support from the message boards and WOWY community; priceless. I now weighed 140 lbs, 23% body fat, a 29.5 waist, 38 inch hips and wear a size 6. I have the body of a real softball player and don’t need an oxygen tank waiting for me at 1st base. I now look at myself in the mirror and like what I see. In March 2007, I hit my first in-the-park home run, what a transformation. Beachbody has not only given me health, it has given me strength, stamina and life. I have literally come to life- physically, mentally and spiritually. I am back in the game, confident and excited for what each new day brings, and I am ready for all of life’s challenges.

I can’t say enough about my Coach, GilC. I so needed his help, guidance, encouragement and occasional kick in the pants. His support was instrumental in my success.

In April, I won the 40-49 age group transformation story and now the Million Dollar Body game has challenged me to take my fitness to the next level. In keeping with my original goals, needing to strengthen my damaged heart and smoke filled lungs, I set three goals for myself.

My 1st goal was to run a half marathon. For several months I ran and cross trained with power half hour, ten minute trainer, and the Master Series. In September, I ran the Air Force half marathon in Dayton, OH crossing the finish line in 2:36:00 with no walking and shattered my goal by 24 minutes.

The 2nd goal I set was to complete the Spurs 5K Race by beating my fastest race time of 32:23. My training regimen was intense with P90X and speed training. I beat my fastest time by 57 seconds. I realized that I could do things I would never have tried before the Million Dollar Body Game.

My 3rd goal was to see if I was as fit as the women who serve in our United States Armed Forces and score a 90% or better. I took the Air Force physical fitness test which consists of BMI, sit-ups, push-ups, and a 1.5 mile run. I trained even harder for this speed run and added the Slim Series for my cross training. I maxed out points on the BMI, sit-ups and push-ups and all I had left was the 1.5-mile run. On test day, I had the challenge of 39-degree weather with a wind chill factor of 34 and 10 mile-an-hour head winds in light rain. My hubby/coach was there encouraging me every step of the way. I finished in 14:08, which was a 9:23 pace; the fastest I have ever run in my life. I received 42 points for a total of 92%. I was overwhelmed with pride, satisfaction, and self-confidence.

I am grateful for the push from the Million Dollar Body Game and my coach for inspiring me to set and achieve these goals; goals that I would have never otherwise attempted. I truly felt extremely proud of myself and my accomplishments. I feel my heart and lungs are stronger than ever now and I plan on never looking back. No matter what the outcome, I’m the big winner from the confidence and self worth I have gained from the Million Dollar Body Game and I now can call myself a runner.
