I now have a back injury to deal with (I'm told it's an old one) but I still am pushing as hard as I feel is safe. Well here I am again! I started with P90 in 2003 and had great success with it. My husband and I after several rounds of P90 went on to tackle P90x. We did great until about day 40. We had a trip to go on and then a family funeral and it set us back. It seemed that we would start over again with good intentions but never get past the first phase which the diet about did me in. Over the last few years I've done P90X and P90 masters series but haven't totally committed to the diet and would miss a day or two of exercise. I really didn't feel too bad until my back injury in 2006. I had to completely stop exercise other than walking for 4 weeks and I really lost a lot of muscle tone. My husband and I began again after that time but life's stresses just seemed to weigh heavy and it just didn't seem as important as it had before. This summer was the last straw. My clothes just weren't fitting well anymore and I began to gain weight or least it redistributed. We started P90X again in September and have been faithful to the program. It feels awesome to be down almost 10 inches overall in only 30 days! I do have an incentive, there is this friend of mine that has gotten bit by the workout bug and has really made me feel depressed at how good she looks and how she used to be impressed with my results. I will get ripped if it kills me because I don't want to feel inferior anymore! I really like her and I'm not in a competition with her, but it helps to have a little motivation. All the beachbody products have been wonderful. I can't believe how much I've enjoyed working on changing my body into a strong, healthy and fit one. In fact we've had friends buy the program after seeing the results we've had. My husband and I have 2 friends that are coaches at our Alma mater and have been so impressesd that they have purchased the P90X program for the men's basketball team and the girls volleyball team! Wow! If that doesn't motivate I don't know what will!
