I was stationed in Florida and I just love life on the beach, so I have made the Florida West Coast Beaches my home and will continue on with my coaching. I have been a Marathon Running Coach for the past 6 years and I have been a Certified Personal Trainer for the past 13 years along with being a Master Fitness Trainer in the Army for 17 years. I currently work at the Veterans Hospital full time, I do Personal Training at a local gym on the beach and I teach 4 Boot Camp classes on the beach per week. I have enjoyed sports and fitness since I was in elementary school. I love a challenge. Whether it is for me to do or if it’s getting someone else ready to compete. The steeper the challenge the more effort I put forth in preparation and training. Mental preparation is as important as physical preparation. If you have your mind right and if you have set an achievable goal, anything can be done. I try to do at least 2 marathons a year (15 Total) and pick out one, fun, challenging race that makes everyone think I’m crazy. A couple examples, last year I was on a 6 person running team and we ran a 180 mile relay from the east coast to west coast of Florida. Now that was crazy fun!! I also did a Winter Quadrathlon. 48 miles up and down an 11,300 foot mountain, Bike, run, cross country ski and snowshoe to the summit. An awesome race. My next personal challenge is to qualify for the Boston Marathon. I have been within 16 minutes just a few years ago, but my military career had me gone from home quite often so it was tough getting in all the long runs that I needed. But now that I have retired and have committed myself to a strict training schedule, that along with P90X will get me to the Boston Marathon. I have no doubt. Lets P90X those minutes away. I have just completed my 3rd round of P90X and a round of P90X+ and the One on One videos are a nice mix. They are spectacular programs that will get you in the best shape of your life. It is possible to be fit and healthy even when life is moving 100 miles an hour. So make the time to get fit and I will show you the way. When it comes to Fitness and Nutrition, what is your New Years Resolution? Post it for all to see and be committed to that goal and go get it. “WE” can do it together!!! I know that my transformation story will never end. I plan on posting an update every 30 days to show my progress. If you are on my team I hope you will do the same so we can see together, what is working for you and what’s not. I have always been in pretty good shape, but I have always been craving more, something was missing. Being in the military has stopped me from being in the shape I want to be in. I travel so much it gets frustrating having to start a fitness program, miss a week or a month or more and try to get back into it again. I have since retired from the Army in Aug of 2008, so I now have time to fully commit myself to get into the best shape of my life. I saw the infomercial about P90X and it looked very interesting to me, especially all of the serious transformations and success stories. Thousands of them. I thought to myself, this is finally the product I’ve been looking for, for years. So I ordered it and let me tell you, I thought I was in good shape from doing pushups, situps and running with the military, but Tony kicked my butt and good!! I loved it though, I wanted more and so I kept coming back for more and more and I’m seeing improvements in my physique and in my power to do the exercises in just a short time. Set a goal and lets go get it!! So here is my 30 day P90X transformation update: I lost 4lbs, lost 1% body fat, lost a total of 1.50 inches in my hips and waist and gained 1.75 inches in my legs, arms and chest. So I actually gained muscle and lost weight. How great is that. I just ran a marathon 16 Dec 2007 in 4 hrs 18 min. My next one, I hope to come in under 4 hours. I am sure P90X will get me there. Day 60 of P90X. I am starting week 9 now of P90X and I just love it. I keep coming back for more, I look forward to my workouts and I continue to see progress in my repetitions, weight and physique weekly. I set a year long goal to complete the P90X program 2 more times, complete P90X+ 2 times, do 65,000 pushups and to run 2,008 miles. I lost another lb, lost 2% more bodyfat, gained more muscle and still losing weight. Time to PUSH PLAY!!! Looking forward to Feb 14, 2008 - Graduation Day for my 1st round of P90X. Day 90 - Completed my first round of P90X and I just loved it. During the 90 Day program I lost 7lbs, lost 3 inches in my waist and lost 6% bodyfat, while at the same time gaining muscle in my legs, arms and chest. There is still work to be done. I will do more of the nutritional supplements this time around and I have just added the pushup stands in my workouts. They really stretch your chest good. I have ordered P90X+, ready to push play and get ripped. Day 120. These past 30 days have been super. I created a mix of workouts using P90X and X+ and I can see my abs beginning to shine through. The workouts are amazing and my waistline continues to shrink as does my Bodyfat%. I am still gaining muscle and losing fat. You gotta love that. Doing these workouts is becoming addictive and thats a good thing. See ya in another 30 days with more results. Day 150. Continuing to see great progress using P90X and P90X+ workouts. I am on Week 4 teaching a Fitness Boot Camp on the Beach and I'm having a great time. Still losing weight, losing body fat and gaining muscle definition. Gotta love it!! Day 180 brings more results. Still losing inches and defining that 6 pak. Still more work to do, but I'm loving the workouts and I just want more and more. Keep bringing it everyone!! Day 210 - Continues to bring even more results, still gaining muscle and losing inches. I also flew out to San Diego and ran a Marathon (26.2 miles) with "My" BeachBody Coach and it was awesome. I am finally able to control my cholesterol through healthy eating and exercise. Since starting P90X 7 months ago, my Cholesterol has dropped 73 points. That is an accomplishment worth bragging about. Till Next Month, keep pushing play!! Day 240 brings me to the end of my military career. I just retired from the Army last week. Now my new goals will need to be addressed to prepare myself for life after the military. I am still running and doing P90X and P90X+. I am training for the San Antonio Rock n Roll Marathon in Nov with at least 30 other BeachBody members. They should rename it to The BeachBody Rock n Roll Marathon. Still pushing play and I hope you are too. Day 270 - Well I've been retired for 30 days and lovin life on the beach. Who wouldn't!! My workouts are still going strong as well as my running. I hope you are all bringing it to the best of your ability too. Day 300 brings me to the end of another round of P90X and P90X+. I have also incoorperated some of the 10 minute trainer workouts and some Turbo Jam for my Cardio workouts. When Oct 1, 2008 arrives I am going to finish the new year with a bang. I will begin another round of a mixture of many BeachBody workouts, eat healthy, continue to run 50 miles a week, teach my 4 Boot Camp workouts and really Bring it, like I've never Brought!! Please join me in a 90 day fitness challenge to end the new year beginning on Oct 1. Well I celebrated my 1 year anniversary with BeachBody and P90X this month. I continue to show improvements in all aspects of my life. Loving life and loving BeachBody and all their superb products!! I hope to hear from you to accept this challenge!!
