While in the military I never thought my body will ever gain weight. I remember making a statement that no matter what I eat, I will always remain in shape. After getting out it was within two years I learned that if you do not maintain, your body will begin to get soft. On the third year, I was completely out of shape and just plain fat (credit to the enchiladas my girlfriend made). I have a While in the military I never thought my body will ever gain weight. I remember making a statement that no matter what I eat, I will always remain in shape. After getting out it was within two years I learned that if you do not maintain, your body will begin to get soft. On the third year, I was completely out of shape and just plain fat (credit to the enchiladas my girlfriend made). I have a membership in a gym and I did go from time to time. I did weight training but mostly running. I thought it was decent amount to maintain, but I was more like stuck on a pleatue. I had the knowledge of exercises, supplements and was capable of self motivating (credit to the military) however I was in a time of college, and developing my career in Software Developing. I simply gave my time to work instead of my workouts.
My girlfriend and I started P90X on Jan of 09, I related to the workouts quickly and help coach my girlfriend at the same time (as far as form and pushing). At the same time we were loyal to the nutrition plan as if it a form of a bible. The nutrition is one of the biggest missing piece of the puzzle, the missing link that puts everything together. I learned that... well to me that is... proper nutrition was our 60% of our success, while the workout was 40%. We succeeded loosing so much within the first 60 days. We had to get some new cloths. Three weeks left to reaching our 90 days, my girlfriend received a minor injury during snowboarding, it sucks, but I lost my partner. Then due to a serious turn on my job, working nights and weekends. Being stressed was not helping either. Being in shape did help through the stress though, I could not continue.
I began eating fatty foods, and drank a whole lot of sodas and beer again. Even though this was a big “no no”, it taught me something new, something very important, and very important to share. Going from military shape… to work fat… to P90X shape… Pizza… to P90X nutrition… back to pizza. The lesson learned was realizing the capacity of my body. I learned what it takes to add a pound and remove a pound. I learned what will happen if I gradually eat the wrong food, and vice versa. It’s weird and hard to explain but it is interesting how a mind can eventually learn how to calculate the outcome of a good choice and a bad choice (involving body composition).
My career is now stable, financial goals are reached. I AM BACK!! To finish what I started. I have so much to share, information to give, motivation to use. Round two started on 20 Dec 09. Mission objective is to graduate P90X, and P90X Plus, create an account as a coach with hopes to meet people around my home Lewisville Texas so that I can push you to your capability. BRING IT
