After high school I was always about 5 pounds overweight. It didn't seem like a big deal to me, so I didn't do anything about it. I was pretty thin, but not in shape at all. Then, I got married and started having kids. I had one pregnancy complication after another. I had pre-eclampsia twice, a ruptured tubal pregnancy, 2 miscarriages, gall stones, and a barthalone's cyst. I gained about 50 to 60 pounds each pregnancy, and usually didn't lose very much of it after pregnancy. In May 2001, 4 months after my youngest was born, I thought I would finally be able to get in shape. The very FIRST DAY that I headed to the gym, someone rear ended my car, and once again my efforts were halted. I couldn't believe it. I still have back pain today from the accident. This accident caused a downward spiral of unhealthy eating habits. I had given up! I still had complications from my previous pregnancies, and had to have a hystorectomy. Then I hit my heaviest non-pregnancy weight of 194!!! I was mortified, and knew I needed to change things. That's when I discoverd Power 90, and began my beachbody experience. This week (March 2006) marks day 60 with Turbo Jam, and I am still going stronger than ever. I can do this, and YOU CAN TOO! :) ...Well, once again, I am starting over (July 2006)! I was doing great with TJ and even started the advanced workouts. My lowest point was 148. I almost made it, nothing could stop me! Then, I contracted mono in May 2006. At first I didn't know what was wrong. I was really sick, so I thought I just had the flu, and then my energy was the only thing that flew right out the window. It took everything I had just to get out of bed and just live life, there was no more energy for working out.... It's been 2 months and I discovered several herbal remedy's that have helped me. I am not full swing yet, but I have enough energy to at least do a low impact work out. I gained all my weight back, plus. I'm now at 172 and having to start all over. I know I can do this, and I WILL succeed. Well, July didn't work out, I was ready mentally but my body was not ready yet. It's now December 2006, and I have the ok from my doctor to begin working out again. January 1, 2007 is my start date. I am now 176. By now I'm getting really good at "begin again". I am really blessed to have all these experiences, because it makes me a much stronger person with the resolve to take control of my life. ... Now it's January 2009. Where have I been? Off of my feet thats for sure. I was doing pretty good with my workout in 2007, and then started going strong around May. Thats when I injured both of my plantar fascia (arch of the foot). Well, I could barely walk, let alone do Turbo Jam. I switched to swimming, and have learned to enjoy it. But I am now ready to BEGIN AGAIN. I will start working out full force next week, and then my transformation will truely BEGIN. Ok, November 2009. I have been down and up since January. I swam for several months, and got my feet better. In March 2009, I started P90X. I got through 10 weeks, and was in the best shape I have been in a long time. My weight was 154. I was on my way. Then, in the middle of it all, family duty called. I really have no excuses this time, except life getting too busy. I am now 176 (I think). I stopped weighing myself on a regular basis. I have just ordered insanity, and will be completing this (hopefully a few times). I don't think my situation is too unique. I have come to realize, my overall success in life depends on my level of personal fitness. If I am to take care of those around me, I need to take care of myself, and my body, first. If my story sounds familiar to you, I would love to hear from you. We all need support, especially when sometimes our efforts seem in vain. Just remember, "KEEP PUSHING PLAY". I've been a beachbody customer since 2003. I had lost 50 pounds with Power 90, a couple years ago. I was really proud of my acomplishment. I still had weight to lose, but didn't keep up the program. Life just simply got in the way once again. I have gained about 20 pounds of that back. I started power 90 Once again, and lost 15 of the pounds I gained back. I then started p90x. I did great for the first 6 weeks, but then went on vacation, and lost all my progress. That was this past summer. I chose my screen name because it seems that I am always starting over. This time is different. I have turbo Jam! I used to wonder why I could stay thin when I was younger and not now. I realized it was because I used to love to dance, and did it all the time. When I saw an infomercial on Turbo Jam, I knew it was the program for me. And when I saw it was from BEACHBODY, I knew I couldn't fail. This is my last Begin Again! I know there are others out there who keep starting over. After Turbo Jam, I will be heading straight for P90X! I won't lose my progress or momentum. Well it's December 2006 and once again I get to start over (see bio below). I am really looking forward to getting back on track. Remember if you get knocked down 6 times, get up 7! January 2009, did I mention Begin Again? November 2009, and now the "Insanity" begins. (Again)
