I have struggled with being overweight absolutely all of my life and up until last year, was able to use my flexibility to get around pretty well. My Mom could never shake the 50+ pounds that found her over the years and discovered why in October 2005 when she was diagnosed with Type II diabetes. Around that time, I noticed that I was starting to lose a lot of my flexibility and body parts were starting to hurt. Because of being overweight, I knew depression way too well. For many years I would try diets and exercise, but the weight wasn't coming off, then I would pack on a few more pounds then what I was trying to lose. I realized that I was following in my family’s footsteps on a direct path towards diabetes if I didn’t do something about my health. In August 2006, after being told I was not fat enough to qualify for gastric bypass surgery (on what planet is 270 pounds at 5'5" not fat enough?!), I realized that there is no such thing as a “quick fix” to getting fit and getting the perfect bod I've dreamed of having – I have to do this for myself. But when I discovered MDB, I learned I don't have to do this by myself. Because of MDB and its awesome community, so far I have lost 90 pounds that will never find me again. And the weight keeps coming off. My ultimate goal is to be a “100 pound pioneer”. I want 100 pounds off my body and gone forever. In just a short time I went from "how am I going to push play today?" to "I gotta push play again!" I now look forward to pushing play, seeing how much I can sweat and how much stronger I can finish the sets than I did the day before! I can't wait to take my measurements every 30 days to see how much progress I've made! Did I actually say I'm looking forward to taking my measurements?! The inches just keep melting off! Just take it one day at a time and look what happens~~you get some serious rewards! I feel so good every day, I have more confidence, I stand up straighter and I don't hide when I go out in public. I smile at everyone, life is good! I even decided to start P90X and I’m so glad I did! I totally love this program! I can almost make it through all of the routines, but the important part is that I'm GIVING IT MY BEST, every day! So I’m going for another round of P90X and will continue more rounds until I finish strong in every routine! And now I'm an MDB coach! Along with staying motivated and excited with all of my wonderful friends I've met here at MDB, I'm helping others to choose a healthy lifestyle (and win money!), one day at a time! If you would have told me a year ago that I would be helping others get healthy, I would have thought you’d lost your mind and you definitely weren’t talking about me. I can hardly believe the changes I have made thanks to MDB! I make excellent food choices ALL day, EVERY day, I exercise EVERY day, I just can't get over how good this feels! I'm SO excited about life now, my kids think they got a new Mom! Thanks MDB, YOU'VE GOT ME FOR LIFE!
