I'm a Minnesotan. Ya, sure, ya betcha.
For as long as I can remember my father would always say "you need to
exercise your mind and body everyday." He was ahead of his time. The day he
died he was out for a bike ride. He was 70.

Because I was encourage to be active I made it a part of my life and it worked
really well until I got into my 40's. I took a desk job, had some medical issues
and I gained nearly 50lbs. I was just under 200lbs. Doctors wanted to give me
prescriptions, it wasn't the answer I was looking for. I started studying health
and nutrition. I got a job with a weight loss company. I dropped 30 lbs in 6
months. After hitting 50 the weight is creeping up again. I now work for
myself as a portrait photographer, I am less active and have gained back
18lbs. When something isn't working, something has to change. I keep
thinking about what my father said about exercising daily, so here I am. If I
can do this anyone can. You betcha.
I'm married, to a naturally thin man. It's not fair. We have 4 children between
us and 4 grandchildren. We live on a lovely lake in central Minnesota and feel
truly blessed.
