My Photos | Brendie I am 53, happily married, and I have been blessed with a wonderful family including 7 grand children and 2 more on the way. I am a domestic engineer and I currently work part time in the local Health Food Co-op Store. I enjoy interacting with people wherever I go. I have been active most of my life, enjoy walking, and have strived to eat healthy but, have not always done so. I have been active most of my life, enjoy walking, and have strived to eat healthy but, have not always done so. My daughter, who works out, introduced me to “Turbo-Jam.” I started working out with her and I just loved it. I felt good, I stood up straight, and I physically felt like a new person. I thought, “Wow, I have finally found something that I enjoy doing and it doesn’t seem like work, it’s fun!” I have never been overweight too much, but I have never wanted to be either. My percentage of body fat has been gradually increasing and I am not satisfied with the way I look right now. Given my age, I just desire to maintain a healthy weight and to get toned-up. My “over the hill” body parts need conditioning big time! I was diagnosed with Breast Cancer at the age of 45 and, by “God’s Grace,” today I am cancer free. Since that time I have wanted to do everything in God’s power to be healthy. I know a healthy lifestyle can reduce the chance of cancer returning. I am looking forward to working out and seeing good results with the Turbo Jam program and I am committed to making it work for me. I am 5'2" tall and my average weight use to be 110lbs. I have always been on the thin side with small bones. I started gaining weight over the last 8 years after going through breast cancer, menopause, and I just managed to get the middle age spread. I happened to see a photograph one day of myself. I could not believe how awful I looked. When I sat down I hated to feel the spare tire resting on my waist line and hips. Over a year ago last summer I started working out with Turbo Jam with my daughter. I really liked it. It wasn't until March 2008 I joined beach body. I really did not get into too much because I had some more surgery in April 2008. For most of the summer I was at my parents home because my dad went through heart surgery, so I did not start working out every day until August 25,2008. I have a great new coach Teresa (Fit Ortho) she has been my inspiration! I got onto her 90 day Challenge and I have been at it since. I go so involved with this challenge I forgot to update this profile of mine. Oops! So here I am 60 days later. I have had changes and I am really excited. I am using TMT and Turbo Jam for my main workouts. I do all kinds of exercise to keep moving. Tony Horton always talks about moving. So I just move. I was on the Lean Jean Eating program for 2 weeks. It helped me immensely. I am ready for the power 90 tapes but haven't got them yet. I have a vive to not eat sweets and chips. I am now trying to eat healthy and I watch everything that goes in my mouth. I have used the Whey Protein Powder for my smoothies and they are Fantastic!! I am so excited about my changes. I can fit in my old jeans and I am losing inches and body fat. I have not reached my goal yet but I am hanging in there. This does not happen over night. I will stick with this because I feel so much better about myself and it is fun being thinner. Funny thing, I use to be able to eat anything and everything and not gain a pound, but now I eat anything and I gain weight. I will continue to work out and eat healthy because I never want to return to what I was and what I was heading to be.
