Hi! My name is Brian Nielsen, I’m 51 years young, and I completed Power90 on October 26, 2007. I lost 25 pounds and 7.5% body fat, and almost 13 inches in 90 days! I then completed a round of P90X and I am currently working on P90X+, a great workout for anyone looking to get fit!
I spent more than 22 years in the Marines, so you’d think that I would be in pretty good shape, but my last tour of duty from 1996 to 1999 I got pretty lazy and gained about 40 to 50 pounds. I just kept going to the uniform shop and buying a larger size trouser, and kept eating whatever I wanted. I retired in 1999 and tried to get in shape, but never had much luck. Then in 2002 I went thru a divorce, and I started trying to date again, and so I thought I might have better luck if I wasn’t so heavy. Well, I met a wonderful woman and today she is my wife of just over two years. Prior to our wedding we were both working out, using various methods and diets, and on our wedding day I was down to about 185 and feeling pretty good about that! But then we settled into being married, bought a new home, began eating out and eating good at home, and pretty soon I was back up to 230 pounds. Well, in March 2007 I began working out again, and by the time I saw the infomercial for Beachbody, I was right around 210-215. I didn’t think I was ready for the P90X, so I ordered the Power90 program and started using it on July 29, 2007. After 30 days I was down to about 199, I was getting firm in places I hadn’t been firm in quite a while, and really enjoying the workout routines. My goal is to get my body fat percentage down into the low double digits, maybe even into single digits, and put on some muscle.
