Columbus, OH Hello! My name is Brooke and I'm a 27 year old from Columbus Ohio. I've been "the chubby girl" for what seems like all my life. When I think about it though it really started happening around puberty.
I found out in 2006 that I have a disorder called Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (or PCOS for short). The doctor that diagnosed me did not bother to really explain to me what was going on with my Hello! The doctor that diagnosed me did not bother to really explain to me what was going on with my body though. It took me until I started my fitness journey in December of 2007 and hardly lost any weight at all the first half of 2008 to really sit down and do the research myself on this disorder.
Even though I was a very active teenager with Marching Band, Softball, and Winter Percussion the most I could ever do was maintain at a slight over weight level because I continued to eat like a "normal" teenager. You live and learn I guess. Now that I learned so much last year I'm starting 2009 with new goals and the information I need to reach them!
I took the Ohio State Medical Board test for Massage Therapy in 2007 and became a licensed Massage Therapist in January 2008. I know work part time as a an LMT in a massage clinic and full time as a cube dweller ;)
I became a Team Beach Body Coach in 2008 as well. I know what it is like to think you are doing all the right things and still struggle to loose weight and get fit. By becoming a coach I am hoping to help those people by sharing the information I have already learned. If you have any questions feel free to e- mail me.
