Well let’s see it all started in high school. I was pushing 300lbs 292 to be exact. It really hit me one morning when I was getting dressed and I could barley tie my shoes. Tying my shoes was a work out, and it made me sick.

From that point I knew that I had to do something, I was young and did not know that much about nutrition or what it took to get myself into shape. At that time the Atkins diet was sweeping the nation, and I jumped on the bandwagon to give it a try. It worked well for me at the time. I stuck to the diet for about a year not missing a beat. I lost 75lbs and brought my weight to about 215-220.

However I got stuck in a rut and seemed to plateau and for the life of me I could not break it. I started to drift of the Atkins diet and not really watch what I eat. I managed to keep off the weight for several years but at the end of the day I was not even close to where I wanted to be., but I was not sure how to get to where I wanted to be.

I joined a gym and worked my butt off at the gym but still had no idea what I was doing. I was the guy at the gym that worked out my arms and chest, and did the same exercises every time. Never really worked out my legs or total body. I would run on a treadmill for hours and was completely bored with it, I actually hated it because it was not fun and I had no idea what I was doing. I read and read and read some more trying different workout programs here and there but not finding anything that that I liked and that kept my interest. Not to even mention my nutrition, that is a complexly different story.

One day a buddy told me about this infomercial that he found called P90x. He told me a little bit about it and said he tried a couple of the workouts and just could not do it. This peaked my interest and that night I actually saw the infomercial on TV. I watched the entire thing and was pretty shocked to see the results that people where getting, but still very skeptical because I know that the people in the infomercial are paid.

The real eye opener was when I found P90x on you tube and was able to see real everyday non paid peoples results from this system. I was able to see and hear how hard this program was but how motivated everyone is. It boggled my mind how something could be so hard and painful yet have so many people want to do it and then once they did it love it. I had to try it. I read everything I could about P90x, watched every video that I could and started to buy the small amount of equipment that I needed.

Then I purchased P90x and got ready to bring it. The first two weeks where a killer but I brought it and I brought it hard. I soon feel in love with the program and have become addicted. I know it will take time to transform my body into the way I want it and I am on the way to get it done. Thanks to beach body and p90x for finally helping me find a complete life changing system.
