Unlike most Americans with a weight problem, I had the reverse weight problem: I was too skinny. Instead of being self-conscious about being too heavy, I lacked self-confidence because I was shaped like a stick.
With the help of MDB DVDs and my active lifestyle that includes surfing, yoga and biking, I have transformed my body into a reflextion of myself I can be proud of.

Sometimes I ask myself if I'm being too Narcissistic because I check out my physique in the mirror. I come to the conclusion that I've earned the right to be proud of the work I've achieved and remind myself that hard work pays off.
And I feel satisfied with my physique, my confidence gets a boost as does my overall sense of well being.
My greatest achievement has been inspiring my parents to health. My dad has lost almost 200 pounds in the last 8 years and looks great. My mom went from being a chronically-tired teacher to a 4-classes a day gym rat.
For a number of years I was a personal fitness trainer in a boutique-style personal training studio. The part about the job that bored me was working with some of the same clients for years. I really felt I wanted to educate them on how to motivate themselves.
That's why I really love the MDB program: inspiring millions to take initiative and do it yourself.

Even as lean as I am, and considering all the surfing, yoga and biking I do, I still tend to put on excess weight around my midsection. Checking my midsection daily to see if I have excess fat might seem a little excessive or compulsive, but I feel it keeps me in check with eating the right amount of calories and food.
So the one thing that really has helped me not only eliminate any sign of a love handle, it has sculpted me in ways that I could never have imagined.
I always wanted to be as lean as one of those Greek Olympic athlete sculptures and now I can honestly say that if you took out my eyeballs, I'd look like one of those statues.
My own personal transformation, though it doesn't involve a lot of pounds lost, did come about through lots of sweat.
