I have been a middle school teacher for the past 6 years I have aspirations of writing a book one day of the experiences in my life. The most recent chapter would be solely dedicated to my life transformation with P90X! I never thought I would be doing workouts in my living room and seeing extraordinary results... feel free to contact me at jscholte@columbia.k12.mo.us Hi, my name is Jamie. I have been a middle school teacher for the past 6 years and coached high school football for the past 9. I have been married to my beautiful wife for 7 years. We have 2 wonderful girls (4 year old and 8month old)! I love when my 4 yr old tries to do the workout moves with me :) I started working out in 3rd grade when my grandpa bought me the concrete weights wrapped in plastic. I have always been active or involved in sports my entire life. Working out was something I was good at and enjoyed seeing changes in my body. However, my workouts every once in a while over the past year were not cutting it. I felt tired all the time and found myself unmotivated to lift weights or exercise. Sleep became a problem and my nutrition was consistently filled with fast food, candy, and soda. However, ONE NIGHT AT 4AM (as many people know) I was watching an info-mercial about p90x. I thought this would be something I would like to try and see if it really worked. I have seen several other info-mercials selling one piece of equipment or another, but this was different. A few weeks later in conversation with another football coach p90x came up. He too had heard about it and said it was supposed to be the real deal. I finally went to my computer and committed to ordering it. when it arrived a week later, it sat in my living room for 5 days. I had told my fellow football coaches that I had ordered it. they laughed because it was just another gimick to them. When I finally decided to try it, I was amazed and out of breath to say the least. I can remember doing the first workout and getting light headed. How in the world could doing pushups and pullups be kickin my butt! I looked at the clock ticking away at the bottom of the screen and I had 7:34 left and thinking, "I can do this. I am not going to quit!" That is when it all changed for me. I was finally challenged in a way I had never been before. Each and every work out had something new I had not experienced in my lifetime of working out. I even took some of the moves with me to football summer workouts and used them with my players. They too were blown away. By the time I hit day 30 and compared my photos, I could visually see a difference. I had begun an unforgettable adventure that would bring me flexibility, challenges, nutrition, and overall well being I had not felt in a long time. The benefits were both physical and mental. I felt better about myself, I had more energy to do things around the house, and ultimately watched my body transform into what looked like something out of a magazine. I was eating better, sleeping better, and thinking better. (and I can't forget to mention what p90x did for me in bed:) I took a chance, pressed play, and the rest is history. Was it easy... no way! Commitment and sacrifice and effort have made me into a different person. thanx p90x, you helped me out of a rut and changed my life for the better! The name CoachSticky: I got my nickname "Sticky" in high school while playing football as a wide receiver. I caught what seemed to be an impossible pass from the quarterback and when i came back to the huddle, Coach LouDog was there and all he said was, "Sticky." The nickname literally stuck and I went on to play football and baseball throughout my high school career. My first year of college was at William Jewell College in Liberty Missouri where I continued my football and baseball career. After one unforgettable year at Billy Jewell, I transfered back home to the University of Missouri (MIZZOU!) One eventful summer led me to walk on as a wide receiver for the struggling tiger football program. After sitting out a year for my transfer, my first eligible year I saw the field a total of 5 "livin a boyhood dream" plays and a trip to the Holiday bowl in San Diego California. this was Mizzou's first bowl trip in 13 years! We made it to the Insight.com bowl in Tucsan Arizona the following year. I was voted "Most Inspirational" by coaches and teammates my senior year and is a huge honor to me because I was a walk-on and 3rd string receiver in a running offense. I met and played with some great athletes and character people like Corby Jones, Brock Olivo, Kent Layman, Kirk Farmer, Carlos Posey, Jon Dausman, Chad Martin, Justin Smith, Jared Gilpin, Josh O'Neal, Brad Imes, Todd Niemeyer, Mike Morris, Barry Odom, Matt Donnelly, and J-Lew. I had the opportunity to be around great coaches: Andy Hill, Larry Smith, Donny Sommer, Dave Toub, Pat Ivey, and great trainers: Rex Sharp, Greg Nagel, and great academic support: Bryan Maggard, Joe Scoggin, Tami Chevious. All of these people made my college experiences play out like a story you would see on Oprah! Maybe I will write that book and be on Oprah one day (and my book would not be made up like "Life in a thousand pieces") I was also a member of the KA fraternity throughout my college career and met many outstanding individuals. I see them as my life long brothers. Viva la Mitch! My Progress My Fitness Goal: Build Muscles Transformation Story

I am currently PLUSing it! This is my second time with the plus and I love it. My wife finished her 10 minute trainer, 1st P90X, and is currently doing a 2nd round of P90X. I would definitely say that P90X has changed my whole family and our outlook on life. Speaking of conversation starters... I would say that most of my conversations pertain to P90X because someone else is asking what I do to stay in shape or they too have heard of it or want to do it or are doing it. It seems to have spread like wild fire in the Midwest and is one of the easiest things and most comforting things to talk about. I believe it is easy to talk about because it works and others who have done it, know too that it works. Its almost like telling "old war stories" with people that have done p90x and you feel that special connection when talking about uggghhh 90 minutes of yoga or whoooooaaaaaa corn cob pull ups. Before my wife did it, she would get so annoyed with me talking to other people about P90X and said that is all I ever talk about... Well, now that she is on her second round of p90x, she can't stop talking about it either :) | ||||||||
