I have always been a very active person. Naturally strong and muscular, sports have always come easily to me. However I have always struggled with my weight. I grew up eating fatty comfort foods like macaroni and cheese, casseroles, mashed potatoes and pizza. Even though I was pretty active, I was always a little overweight.

The last few years have seen the biggest change in my body. What seemed like a few small changes turned out to be a HUGE lifestyle change! It all started when I began training for a marathon with Team in Training, a non-profit organization that raises money for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society while training for endurance events. After two marathons, 3 half marathons and numerous 10ks, I moved on to a triathlon. I can't wait to do another tri! I loved it!

After my triathlon, I needed another challenge. So, what did I find? P90X! I love this program! It completely changed the way that I think about fitness and nutrition. I love sharing P90X with people because it works!

Fitness is attainable by any person. Starting small is so important. Cutting back gradually on the bad things you put in your mouth, taking the dog out for 30 minutes instead of 10, and parking your car at the end of the parking lot are all great ways to start. Gaining the weight took a while, so you can't expect the weight to come off (and stay off) in a matter of days. Have patience, and know that we are all here to support you.
