Hi, life is good in NM. I'm married to Carl and have two young adults that are attending College. Most of my life I have been dedicated to fitness and health. At one time I weighed 135. Being 54 years old and only 5'3" that too much weight for me considering my idea weight is 115 lbs. Don't get me wrong, keeping off the weight has not been easy, I'm always working at it. With set backs of injuries, troubles and life in general, cross-training is there for you to keep going.
Always looking for a outlet to give me a boost, to keep on exercising, a friend introduced me to TeamBeachbody. I thought this is great! With my busy schedule I like to know that I can log onto a workout and see that there are others doing a workout the same time with the same ambitions. Not only that but doing the workout in the convience of my home. When it's too hot or too cold outside, it's perfect at home. I like the fact that when ever I have questions or need information I can find the answers in the Teambeachbody community or my Coach. A lot of support from the experts.
For the past 35 years I've coached Aerobics, X-Country, Track & Field and Soccer both young and old. Working out with Power 1/2 hour, P90X, plus other activities has made a difference in my fitness level.
I would like to encourage YOU to take the journey with me and my friends to a better you. To look and feel better about ourselves. I am 100% dedicated in helping YOU.
Don't think about it, just get out there and get started NOW!! YOU'll BE HAPPY THAT YOU DID!! HAVE FUN!

Three weeks into the program participating five times a week. I can feel the difference. I'm running three times a week and doing power half hour three times a week. From the abdominals workout I can feel myself standing taller and the abdominals are getting a little firmer. I'm seeing results. I felt like I needed to fast so I did a two day formula from beachbody and added fruit juice, bannana if I felt I need more calories but not much. Nine weeks into the workout, I'm feeling good, still on track and feeling stronger overall conditioning. Lost a total of three inches overall and five pounds. I want to lose in the waist a little bit more, that is alway the last place to lose for me. I'm getting better at eating only healthy all natural foods. The mocha chocolate and peanut butter protein bars are a delicious recover snack. After a hard workout eat this within 30 minute of your workout to get the muscle mending right away. The bar is a great meal replacement for lower calories and a pick-me-up snack. Three month have gone by and I'm doing some incredible workouts with P90X. The belly fat is coming off. I'm now working out 6 times a week. Once a week I'm doing stretches or yoga. The yoga is amazing, when your done you feel like you just got a massage. What I really like about P90X is that Tony doesn't waste any time through-out the workouts. With the continuous movement it become aerobic conditioning good for the heart and lungs. It's amazing how strong your body can get and what you can do after just a few months. I went out to the track and ran some hundreds faster than I have ran in more that three years. It felt really good! Five months have gone by I've lost eight pounds and five inches overall. I lost two pounds of body fat. Nine months have past and I'm hanging in there keeping the weight off. Had a set back with re-occuring achilles tendon caused by running. I'm treating the injury to keep it under control and walking instead of running. Walking through my workouts (P90X, power half hour) it can be done, it works and is effective. If you get sick, busy, injured, you come back as soon as you can and do the best that you can. Because I was injured I haven't ran for four months, only the bare minimum to see how my achilles feels. Still doing alot of Beachbody exercises feeling energetic and strong. P90X keep my body strong so when I do come back to running it won't be so difficult.Lost another inch and pound.
Finally got into running during X-country the fall of 2008. Ran a 21:17 5K fun run at the Turkey Trek. Running 3 to 4 times a week and doing P90X three to four times a week.
One year into the program and I couldn't be happier about the program. A lot of people are getting into shape, losing inches and weight and gaining muscle strength and endurance. I'm enjoying P90X, it is still fun and challenging. I added a variety of program to spice it up, Turbo jam, and Hip Hop Abs are fun, effective programs.
Training and Coaching is my passion and it is also the best way to stay healthy. One year four months: P90X is still fun and challenging to me.I love the KenpoX, CardioX, Core synergistics, YogaX,Stretch, and & Arms & Back. The way that I know it helps is my every day energy and my running performance. I went back to school and I feel that exercise has helped me stay focused and have a clearer mind when I study. I have a better concentration. I am running a few races on track and I'm pleased with my preformances. Ran a 3000 meters in 12:22. That is a 6:30 a mile. There is a run for the zoo this weekend and I'm excited to see what I got! Good luck to all!
Lost a total of four pounds of body fat. I almost reached my goal in losing body fat but my doctor told me not to lose anymore because of my age and condition.
Reporting back about the Run for the Zoo, ran a 20:53 5K, my fastest in two years. I placed lst in my age group and seventh overall woman. Thanks to Teambeachbody I'm stronger than ever. But my biggest accomplishment are my athletes. They all did personal best and majority of them metaled in their age-group. Congratulations to all of you!
Just recently I found out from my co-worker that I am Nationally ranked in the 5k for my age group. I'm in the 85 percentile. I was shocked when I heard that so I had to look it up myself and sure enough I was.
