Alright, so I have been on the brink of real
fitness twice now only to sabotage myself and end up right back where I started.

The first almost: My senior year in highschool when I wandered into a Cardio Kickboxing class after school. That was the beginning of my love affair with the kickboxing format of aerobics. So over the course of that year I went from 168 pounds to 146 pounds. But I didn't do it the healthy way. I still binged on entire batches of chocolate chip cookies and a case of Pepsi, chips, donuts, M&Ms...you get the idea...but I would follow up with skipping meals the next day and exercising like crazy. Everyday after school I would go to dance classes for an hour or two (depending on the night), head to the gym afterward for a class or two followed up some time on the stationery bike. No wonder I lost weight - it was insane and SO not healthy! Of course, when I headed off to college that fall, I gained it all back and then some.

The second almost: A year and a half ago, I got really serious about Turbo Jam. My diet was good, I pushed play every day and over the course of 12 weeks, I dropped from 172 to 146 pounds. I was back at 146! Woohoo! That meant I could eat whatever I wanted and start skipping workouts, right? Well, that's what I thought...and you guessed it...I ended up right back where I started. Oy. It took a while to put it back on, but I still put it back on.

So now is the time for the true follow through to success! I'm at the right mind set - this is a lifestyle change, not a temporary program. I'm down 20 pounds since that night I first ordered Power 90. I'm going back to basics with Slim in 6 this month - I'm pretty excited. I had great results two years ago so I'm pumped to see what changes I can make this time around! Then it's on to Insanity in September!

My goals now are not to just lose the extra pounds - but to build a strong physique. Those women who have incredible muscle definition amaze me - and soon I will be one of them. :)
