I was skinny fat. I had gone from 150lbs to 180lbs a few years ago by eating fast food every day for lunch.
I quit eating out and my weight got down to 170lbs, but I probably only had enough muscle to lift food to my mouth. The rest of the weight was around my waist.

One day I was watching the Golf Channel and saw the P90X infomercial. It was right then that I said, “I want to get into kickass shape.” I ordered it that day. I don’t really know why, but I think I just didn’t want to be an unhealthy person anymore.
Fast forward 90 days. I have more energy and strength than I ever had before. My “norm” for eating has changed. I don’t see it as a diet, but just as the new way that I eat.
Cycling and running are now a part of my weekly workouts. I look forward to those late afternoon rides that last for hours, soaking in the late day sun and fresh air. This is so much better than sitting in front of the TV.
I have new goals now with P90X and beyond to get stronger and more fit than I ever have been in my life.

In the last workout in week 13 I was able to do 70 pullups during the legs & back session!
My measurements might not have shown much, but I am so much stronger than when I started.
I am still doing the P90X workouts, but with more of a focus on endurance cycling and running. My goals for 2009 are to complete a half-marathon in January, a 2 day 150 mile road bike race, and a 12 hour mountain bike race.
I've gotten 4 other people to start either P90X or P90 recently and keep motivating them to keep up the great work. Helping them is so much fun I think being a Beachbody coach would be a very rewarding experience.
Keep bringing it baby!
