My Photos | DWarn Growing up I was very active in sports, but never in fitness. I can only remember ever going to the weight room in high school a couple times in my whole life. I can only remember ever going to the weight room in high school a couple times in my whole life. I even bought one of those high priced home gyms, that claim 3 times a week, 15 minutes a day will get you in the best shape of your life! There awfully expensive to sit around collecting dust, which is what mine did. Dont get me wrong, I tryed to use it, but its pretty pointless when you dont know what your doing! I bet I didnt get a full workout out of the machine the whole time I had it. Once college started, I found myself immersed in video games. World of Warcraft to be exact. Immersed is probably an understatement. I think it is literally an addiction. I played 20 hours a day(not an exaggeration) on my days off. Which is alot of time when you got 4 days off a week. From the second I woke up I didnt get dressed, goto the restroom or even get breakfast. I turned on that game! I was literally addicted. My body went from an active lifestyle to a couch potato. I remember thinking one day, after playing that game for a year and a half. "Ive got nothing to show for the last year and a half" I remember giving up social events to sit at home and play a video game. It was one of the lowest days Ive ever had, but it wasnt enough to make me quit! Then one morning, I remember it like yesterday. Im up at 2am getting ready for work, and the tv was still on, and I hear da da dada da! It was the P90X theme music! I popped outta the bathroom and sat down on the coffee table to watch this infomercial with a ripped outgoing guy named Tony Horton. All I could think was, "Dang, they paid alot of fitness models to be on this thing." Infomercials are always peddling crap products and claiming a miracle, so I thought, but this was different. There was no miracle cure, it was gonna take work. The longer I watched the more I realized something about this program worked. Heck, everyone had a 6 pack! Months later my job had a weight loss challenge. The person who lost the most weight would get a sub. A WHOLE SUB?! Holy cow! I was all over that!, and I was up to 210 my heaviest weight ever. I was a shoe in! Except for the 400lb people who beat me. I went home to find that program I saw months before, XP90. I couldnt find it anywhere, good thing google corrected me with P90X. I had found it! I ordered it right away! I was hooked from the second I started seeing results! Which was literally 4 weeks in! P90X is my anti addiction. | ||||||||
