Growing up, I was always involved in sports. I played football, basketball, and baseball in high school and continued to play football for 2 years in college. I always kept pretty fit and did not have any major health issues. After college, I started to let myself go and put on a lot of weight. At my heaviest I was up to about 225 pounds (December 2002). I was not happy with the way I looked and began to have lower back pain. I decided to go to a personal trainer. This was one of the wisest decisions I made. I learned a great deal about nutrition and working out. The pounds began coming off, and I no longer had lower back pain.

In 2004 I started running. I participated in 5k or 5mile races, nothing too serious. I gradually worked my way up to running 10 miles. I read an article in a running magazine saying if you can run 10 miles, you can do a marathon by following a 3 days a week running program. I made this my goal. As I began following the training program, I noticed my pace was decreasing, and I was able to run longer distances. I was also shedding more weight (down to 165 pounds at one point). I decided to run the 2005 Philadelphia Marathon, and my goal was to qualify for the Boston Marathon (3h10m). I told a few people my goal, and they laughed when I told them I was only running 3 days per week (quality over quantity). Well, I was on pace until about mile 20, when I hit the wall. I finished in 3:17. I ran it the next year 3:11:30. Just missed. In November 2008, I ran it in 3:07:30 - Boston Qualified!

After I met my goal, I felt like I slacked off and began putting on some weight as my running decreased. I needed a change from my routine. I thought about going back to a personal trainer, but put it off. Somehow I heard of the P90X and decided to check out the site. I thought it looked like just the thing I needed. I ordered it and signed up for Beachbody. I was assigned Angie Renick as a coach and immediately e-mailed her. I researched the Beachbody site, and all it had to offer. Angie gave me all the information I needed about coaching. It was not long until I signed on as a coach. When my P90X arrived I immediately began the workouts and cleaned up my diet. I saw immediately results, and I feel great.

You have probably found my site in one of two ways. I either contacted you and directed you to this site, or I was assigned to you as a coach.

If I contacted you, check out the Beachbody website and all that it has to offer to help you get fit. Click on Connect at the bottom of this page for a free membership to Team Beachbody. You will learn a lot on this site. There are also opportunities for you to receive the many benefits of being a coach as well. I will be here to guide you.

If I was assigned to you as a coach, you are as fortunate just as I was when I began. I was assigned to Angie Renick and realized the potential of Beachbody, not only for my personal health, but also as a business opportunity by being a Beachbody coach. Your age, build, and experience do not matter. You have the opportunity to become part of a wonderful group of people who have improved their lives through fitness and Beachbody. You will have many questions, and I will do my best to answer them or find you the answer. Feel free to contact me.
