We have been blessed with two fantastic and energetic boys, 5 years old and 14 months old. I am also very close to my mom, 2 sisters and brother – all of whom are also part of Team Beachbody.

I’ve always been a “Glass is Half-Full” kind of a person. So even though I have always struggled with my weight, I would try to put a positive spin on it. I used to say “My body reflects my personality – well-rounded and comfortable.” I tried different workout programs, nutrition plans, and joined (and un-joined) gyms. They would all work for awhile but then I’d get bored and stop. My weight went up and down the scale. Still, I was overall comfortable with my image. I would joke: “If I lost all of my extra weight, I’d look TOO good. It would be unfair to all of the other women in the world!” Then one day, I woke up. I was 38, married to a great guy, mother to two wonderful boys, and I weighed over 210 pounds! YIKES! Suddenly, I was TOO well-rounded, TOO comfortable, and the only one to whom I was being unfair was myself! I would become short of breath walking up stairs. Trying to keep up with my boys was exhausting. Even little things like going to a baseball game or movie would be uncomfortable in the stadium seats. It was time to: DECIDE. COMMIT. SUCCEED. Beginning in January 2008, my husband and I decided to make some drastic lifestyle changes. We altered our eating habits and began working out 6 days a week. My brother hooked us up to WOWY. What a great added support! It’s hard to make excuses when you can see soooooo many other people making the time to work out. So far I have lost 28 pounds!!!!!! I can’t believe how much more energy I have! Keeping up with my boys is no longer a struggle! Now, I’m in the middle of Slim in 6 and Burning It Up! I still plan to lose more weight. Lucky for me, Beachbody has so many great products! I won’t allow myself to get bored with working out ever again! So my transformation story continues…. I’ll keep you posted!
