Have you ever wanted to do something amazing?? I have, yet I was falling through the cracks of life....slowy slipping away. My 21st birthday was coming up and I felt like I never accomplished More...
Have you ever wanted to do something amazing?? I have, yet I was falling through the cracks of life....slowy slipping away. My 21st birthday was coming up and I felt like I never accomplished something amazing. That’s when I made the decision, for my 21 birthday I was going to run a Marathon.
I started to train hardcore with the P90x and the Bowflex Select techs, and began to run every single spare second I had. With only 2 months before my birthday I would have to act un-human to finish such a feat. The first day I ran I only complete 3 1/2 miles and I was dead, could this be possible to even do with so little training?
Yes, It was! My 21st birthday came around and There I was at the starting line. I ran till about mile 15, but not without pain and agony. I began to purge, the course director said she was going to pull my number and remove me from the race.
" I would Rather die, than not finish this Marathon," I said to the woman.
I continued and finished 26.2 miles on my 21st birthday. I thought to myself, if I can do that what other amazing things can I do?
I decided I would try and complete one of my life time dreams and bike across the entire united states. I started working on my legs a lot, to bike across the entire US I would need some strong legs. The summer of 2006 I completed this dream. I biked from Florence Oregon, to Sandy Hook NJ all the way across the United states on my Trek 520.
This is my greatest feat ever. To say I pedaled 3220 miles across the US is nuts to think about. None of this would have been possible without the help of training with the Beachbody and Bowflex products.
Now I have fallen into some what of a shape slump but I know with Beachbody, and this wonderful community, I can get back to the best shape of my life, and maybe allow me to do another amazing feat.
