Hi, my name is Richard Skufza and I live in Goodyear, Arizona. I moved to
Arizona from Columbus, Ohio in 1977. I'm a CPA and currently the CFO for a
full service advertising, public relations and interactive marketing firm. My
beautiful wife Linda and I have been married for 34 years. We have two grown
children, a golden retriever, and now our first grand son.

Transformation Story

I sometimes describe myself as the frustrated jock turned accountant. I've
always been active in sports. In high school I played: football, basketball,
baseball, golf and wrestled.  More...
I sometimes describe myself as the frustrated jock turned accountant. I've
always been active in sports. In high school I played: football, basketball,
baseball, golf and wrestled. After high school it was tennis, softball, golf,
snow skiing, hiking and generally some kind of fitness regimen. I've had club
membership, home equipment and various video programs. My
transformation started while visiting my daughter in Savanna, Georgia. In
looking at a picture with my daughter I noticed a few pounds had been added
to my six foot frame. It was about that time I saw the Slim in 6 program on
TV and I thought I can do this program for six weeks and see what happens.
In six weeks I was able to drop about 8 pounds and loose most of the excess
weight I put on. I then tried Power Half Hour. Eventually over time I lost
my motivation, discipline and I went back to a club membership to add some
variety. Then, I started to find it was becoming harder and harder to make it
to the gym. I found that I was not enjoying the work out routine because it
was boring, was taking too long because of the commute time, plus I always
had to wait for equipment. I've found that when I feel this way it's hard to
push myself to go to the gym so I wasn't doing anything. I finally decided to
cancel my membership and go back to the Slim in 6 and Power Half Hour
programs. Now I'm getting back to the fitness level I was at before and I can
see further improvements in my physique. Plus I don't have to go to the
gym, share equipment and I can usually finish a work out in 30 minutes.

Right now my main fitness goals revolve around golf. My goal is minimize
the pain I feel between rounds and increase my overall strength and muscle
tone. I believe this will help me hit the ball farther, even at 54 years old. I
use the Slim and Limber program almost everyday which has increased my
overall flexibility and the other programs have increased my strength and
endurance on the golf course. I can actually play 36 holes on a week end with
out any major soreness. I look forward to improving my game and improving
my overall fitness level Thank you Beach Body!
