Fitness has always been an important part of my life, so naturally I was intrigued by the concept of P90X and taking my health and body to the next level. My husband has lost nearly 40 pounds over the last year and he has motivated me to set a goal and be consistant with that goal. Even when he got off track, he came right back and didn't beat himself up. Aside from my fulltime career in healthcare marketing, I attend school fulltime, teach aerobics parttime, and enjoy golf, walking my Newfoundland dog, and hanging out with friends and family. Of course being from Nebraska, I am a huge Huskers fan and look forward to the college football season.

My transformation story is not quite as exciting as most; however, it's just as important! Up until this point in my life (24 years), I have stayed relatively thin by staying active. My eating habits, up until this point, have been awful. If I wanted it, I ate it (and lots of it). I am fortunate that my metabolism has kept up with me this long.
I saw the infomercial for P90X probably ten times before I finally decided to buy it. I have always been somewhat athletic and enjoy working out, so I thought P90X would be something new and challenging to try. My husband and I are finally taking our honeymoon (after five years of marriage) and I vowed to look awesome in my bikini. That has been my motivation for getting in the best shape of my life.
As I mentioned, my willpower when it comes to food is not that strong and while I enjoy working out, I enjoy eating much more. Therefore, following a nutritional plan will be the most difficult part of my journey. But Tony Horton said something that really hit home for me, "If you keep eating junk, you'll still get fit-but you won't look it." I guess I'd rather go 110%, pick up a few healthy habits along the way and make this transformation worth the time and energy! My awful eating habits have basically been working against all the energy I've put into my workouts, since you can not truly see the muscle I've built (because it's hidden under the fat).
