I'm here to help and would be happy to hear from you anytime... And if you are interested in hearing more about the Coaching Opportunity I will be happy to assist there as well... or you can visit my website at www.texasfitclub.com and no you don't have to be in Texas to do any of this :) Hi! my name is Doris, I am Danish/American, grew up and have lived in Denmark most of my life, I moved to the States in 1992, and today I’m 42, a single mom of two young and lively boys (ages 12 and 13), whom for the most part keep me pretty busy and my life hopping. I have always been very active with my boys, in some cases too active (coaching soccer and leading boy scouts) where time for me was down to zip... I say I was active, but I was never athletic... I can’t say I have been struggling with my weight all my life, it was only after the birth of my second son that I started seeing a problem with my weight. But I was not and have never in my life been physically fit person, so my stamina was very, very poor... and I had very low energy... In 2002 I hit a very low time in my life getting divorced and at my highest weight of close to 200 lbs (I’m 5’10”), I did manage to lose about 40 – 45 lbs, yes I did change my eating habits but it was more lack of sleep, lack of eating and depression that caused my big weight loss... not a healthy and recommended way of doing it... and physically it took a big toll on my body and my health... In the summer of 2003 I got hit with another big blow when I got sick and after many test was diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA), this really forced me to stop and take a hard look at what I was doing to myself and my body... too bad some of us need such a hard knock over the head to ‘wake up and smell the coffee’... After getting sick I knew things needed to change, but again it had to get worse before it got better... at one point my RA was so bad that I could barely walk, getting up and down stairs what almost impossible for me... using my hands was equally painful... the simple things in life became overwhelming... as we all know it takes time to undo many years of bad habits... and it takes determination to get back up every time you fall... cause we all fall and stumble... but here I was a single mom faced with a disease that hits so many women at an early age... and faced with the grim possibility of being crippled at a very young age, I knew things had to change... Million Dollar Body really helped me find a passion in my life that I had no clue I had in me... I have always been the clumsy one... the tall one with too much arms and legs... not fitting in... and More...
Million Dollar Body really helped me find a passion in my life that I had no clue I had in me... I have always been the clumsy one... the tall one with too much arms and legs... not fitting in... and definitely not when it came to any type of sports... So when signing up for a gym membership I was very much out of my comfort zone, I still didn’t feel like if fit in, I was not the 'athletic type' and had never in my life stuck to any type of exercise routine long enough to see any real benefit of exercise... With the tools and support from the BeachBody community I have found something that I can stick to and feel good about... it's has improved my health in so many ways... They make it real simple... if you follow the programs you will see results... of course we all have life getting in our way from time to time... so we get back on the wagon again and continue... even though the programs are 6 weeks or 90 days... this is really a matter of the rest of your life... With all the information on the BeachBody website it has really helped keep me motivated and going since the fall of 2005… to keep working on improving my body and health, to learn new things about nutrition and healthy eating that I never knew before... every day I lean something new... AND I’m finally seeing the benefits of exercise I was looking for on my own body... and I do not feel like a total klutz like I did before… I even dare workout in public with other BeachBody peeps at local Dallas/Texas events or at Tony Horton fitness camps… something totally out of my comfort zone and something I would never have done before now… that in itself is an amazing experience for me... and incredibly motivating... Though I have now reached my initial goal weight and I feel fantastic, I know I can take it even further than this... I have more energy and stamina than I could ever imagine. My future goal no longer has the primary focus on my weight, though I know I can still lose some in size, but more importantly I continue working on improving my health. My next big thing is to complete my second 1/2 a marathon in San Antonio TX in November (2009)... I got this crazy idea and signed up with a bunch of other BeachBody peeps and together (all across the country) we are training for this race last year and doing it again this year... some are running the full marathon, but I decided to not push it to far with my joints and just doing the 1/2 again, a 13.1 mile run. Iam here because it makes me feel fantastic from the inside out and the BeachBody team – Debbie – Tony – Chalene – WOWY – My coach Sher, my team, along with all the really great friends I have found on the Message Boards are what keeps me going in my journey to great health... I have tried most of the workouts… and I’m addicted for sure... I'm currently doing ChaLean Extreme and adding some running... I just love the way these workouts can be mixed and matched into something that will fit my busy schedule... I have to say I never though it possible for me to find fun in fitness… but BeachBody has made that possible for me and for me it has become a new lifestyle... I hope you too will find what I have found… and together we can make a difference in each others lives and in the lives of the people around us. In my daily life I see people struggle with their weight or their health and now I can say ‘I can help’... you can too just click on the ‘BE A COACH’ button at the bottom right of this page... and you too can make a difference to someone in your life, be it a loved one or a total strange...
