Presently, she works at Bally Total Fitness as a personal trainer. She holds community exercise classes at St. James AME Church, Newark, NJ. Her community classes are geared towards the church congregation who are seeking to align their physical goals with their spiritual awakening. She realizes the need for Gods people to truly learn how to treat their bodies as a temple. Exercise has been a major part of her life for over thirty years and she has a strong passion to see others healthy and feeling good about themselves. She conducts fitness seminars for corporations, civic and fraternal organizations, schools and churches.

Deborah is a member of the Stylist & Salon Owners Network and certified under AAAI/ISMA for personal training, and pilates. As a long time member of St James AME Church, Newark, NJ she is the founding director of the Instruments of Praise (2001), a division of St. James Dance Ministry. As director, Deborah choreographed for and taught people with limited movement and disabilities, how to use their bodies to their fullest potential. She is a solo dancer for weddings, birthdays, funerals, celebrations and other events. She is also a featured dancer in the book I Dance Because, a collection of stories, essays and poems about dance.
