My name is JT Barrett. I’m 32 years old and I have been married for 10 years now. When I first got married I thought I was done with the hard stuff. No more dating. No more lasting impressions. As time went by, I learned a successful marriage only happens if you work very hard at it. I’m also a proud father of two great kids. My son is 5 and my daughter is 2. Raising two kids has made me realize that if you can raise kids you can do ANYTHING! I own a bottled water delivery business, D&R Coolers. Business is doing great and growing well. My health though is another story. Between running a business, raising kids and balancing a marriage, I let my body go to waste. Now that has changed thanks to P90X. Before we get to that here is a brief history about me:

Growing up in a divorced/poor family, I never thought life could get any tougher. Boy, was I wrong. I didn’t realize that all this responsibility would take up so much of my time and create so much stress. It’s not easy running a business. It’s not easy raising two kids. It’s not easy maintaining a marriage. All of these things require a 100% dedication and I thought I was doing that. Once again, boy was I wrong. I wasn’t exactly failing at these things, but I should have been doing so much better. I realized that the only way to make these responsibilities better I had to start with myself.

For years now I have been asking and expecting miracles or “easy way” solutions to solve all my problems and make my life easier. This past year I finally got my head out of my rear-end and realized that’s not why I was put on this planet. No one or anything is going to give me a miracle or any easy path through life. Just because I wanted a healthy body and life doesn’t mean it was going to show up over night. Just because I wanted financial security doesn’t mean money is just going to magically appear in my bank account. Just because I want a happy family life that doesn’t automatically make it happen. If I wanted these things I needed to earn it! Everything I want in life, big or small, I need to earn it. It was time for me to roll up my sleeves, rebuild my life and make my soul stronger! From there, I also to decided that I would do my best to help others find and create a better and stronger life for themselves. That’s why I became a Team Beachbody coach. I want to help others live a healthier and happier life.
