It wasn't until last year that I decided to do something about my weight and fitness, when I became very jealous of a buddy of mine (Now my Coach) who started POUNDING IT with Beachbody and losing all this weight. We had both started out a little chunky (haaa!) We discussed his program (P90X) and I thought I wasn't ready for it. However, one night, I saw an infomercial for the TURBO JAM kick-boxing program on TV and was in LOVE immediately with it. It sounded like FUN and just like something I could do and would have FUN doing. Through my friend Jason's link, I was looking around to see if Beachbody had a SIMILAR program, when LOW and behold I found that Turbo Jam WAS part of the BEACHBODY family of products? Yup! I got it immediately and I KNEW I had struck GOLD!!! Soon after that I expanded my video library with Rock'n Body, which is a TON of fun if you like to dance and move n' groove while getting in shape. With these two series, I get toned, get a great cardio work out, get to target my problem zones directly and do some resistance work as well! With Jason as my coach to help me get started and motivated, I found a great community of friends at Team Beachbody who have helped expand my knowledge about fitness, nutrition and accountability. Today, I am also a Team Beach Body Coach (Part of the Scheffy Team) and I hope to be one of THOSE friends for YOU! In addition to all the GREAT tools on this site, check out the MDB CLUB for FREE (for 30 days) and learn more about yourself; design a personalized menu that incorporates your weight loss/gain objectives and realistically gets you to your GOAL! I'll go over it with you if you wish. It's VERY easy. You can EVEN print out your weekly food shopping list. I found that VERY convenient and easy to follow. There are also great recipes (with video instructions), tips on fashion and how to look SLIM, advice from the top trainers and so much more!! The important thing to remember is that no one is perfect and we all fall of the wagon from time to time (as my coach is known to say), but the idea is to get RIGHT back on the saddle and keep moving forward!!! After the initial first three weeks with the program I lost 4 lbs and 4 inces around my body. KEWL! After Five months I lost 19 lbs and 14 inches. I went from a size 14 in jeans to a 10. Today, I'm weighing in at 157 and I fit into my old jeans which had been sitting in my closet WAITING for me for years. However, the style was outdated, so I had to buy new ones. :-) My goal is to continue to reduce and get in shape to become even more healthy while helping others do the SAME!!! I'm such a believer in the beachbody products and lifestyle, and I'm looking forward to keeping the excitement going for myself and all of the friends that I help motivate as a TEAM BEACHBODY COACH. It's an every day process, but one thing is for sure... if you STICK WITH IT, you WILL SEE results. I wasn't so sure at first, because I had tried EVERYTHING under the Sun, but now I'm in it for LIFE because the Beachbody approach to health and fitness REALLY WORKS! I'm looking forward to continuing to build strength and toning, and I'm enjoying the feeling of well-being and flexibility, while reaching my weight and fitness goals. So let's do it together!
