I retired from the Army after 20 years and began teaching at a small Christian school in Waukegan, IL. With the birth of my youngest daughter I went from 135 to 185 pounds. I was in the Army at the time and had limited time to get back into shape. I wasn't loosing weight and shaping back up like I wanted to (and needed to) with my Army Physical Training. I was watching a Slim in 6 infomertial and decided to give it a try. In two weeks time my husband said "Wow. You are looking great." I almost cried. Because I always tend to be very hard on myself and view my body negatively, his comment made a huge difference. I continued pushing play and got down to around 145. After getting out of the Army, I found my weight started to slowing increase. I was working out, but not real focused or dedicated to my routine. At 154 pounds and quickly approaching age 40, I decided to get serious again. I have in my video collection, Turbo Jam, Slim in 6, Power 90 and now Slim Series Express. Due to my limited time for working out and because in the past I saw my greatest results with Slim in 6, I decided to use a combination of Slim in 6, Slim Series Express and Turbo Jam. I do my workouts before work every morning, so I love that fact that the Slim Express videos are around 30 mins long. As the weather gets warmer, I like to run in the evenings as well. My biggest conflicts are time and food. I like sweets and love pizza! I've stopped drinking coffee (sorry Starbucks) and I'm trying to eat healthier. My goal is to weigh somewhere between 135 and 140, be comfortable in my body, and be in the best shape of my life on my 40th birthday and...I would love to get to the point that I could do Power 90X!
