I am a 27 year-old girl that's lived on the island of Maui all my life. My mom is Filipino, and my father is of Portuguese. My family (like most American families) have a strong passion for food. We gather around food ALL THE TIME. The majority of my family is over weight, and it's not a problem for them. It was hard to loose weight and stay healthy when the rest of my family lived and ate CRAP! I am a 27 year-old girl that's lived on the island of Maui all my life. The majority of my family is over weight, and it's not a problem for them. It was hard to loose weight and stay healthy when the rest of my family lived and ate CRAP! When ever they would see me they would say things like, "are you okay it looks like you're sick" and "comm'on aren't you going to eat auntie's cake?" I stuck with it and eventually became the "string bean" of the family. I didn't mind!
While trying to loose weight and taking diet pills, I also smoked. I thought smoking helped me not eat so much. Well of course because it killed my taste of food! Smoking was a bad habit that I couldn't kick for a long time. After doing turbo jam I realized that smoking held me back from really pushing as hard as I could and wanted. I cut back smoking a little bit at a time and saw a really big improvement. Eventually I kicked the habit and started teaching so that I would have to continue and keep up with the members in class.
With Turbo Kick I found my self in a community with others who had the same goals as me. I made a lot of friends who helped keep me on track. I've been teaching for over five years now. I keep in touch with all of my "Turbo Friends" and we help each other live healthy. Not only by working out but sharing eating tips, and motivational tools.
I've been a massage therapist now for four years. I know a lot about the human body, and learn more every day. I successfully help others, along with myself, stay healthy and fit everyday of my life. This is my passion, my dream, my life!

It was always my dream to be a healthy,fit person who encouraged others. My mom used to have me take diet pills to try and lose the weight. But as we all know, diet pills don't work for life changes. I joined the gym and after a few years became an instructor. I lost and kept off a total of 25lbs. After being so happy when I lost the weight I really wanted to help keep others be healthy, and stay in an active community.
I just got married a couple years ago to the man of my dreams. First comes love, then comes marriage, then comes the baby in the baby carriage. I just had my baby November 27, 2008..BIG BOY 8.8LBS. I gained 35lbs, more than I wanted! It's been 5 months and I am 3lbs away from my pre-pregnancy weight. But about 10lbs away from where I would like to be :)
I've been using the ChaLEAN Extreme program, and let me tell you WOW IT WORKS!! I've never lifted weights like this before and this program is what has gotten me to loose fast!!! I've only been on the program for 1 month,and I lost 6% Body Fat, and 6lbs?!?! I fell off track for a little bit, but I'm back on!!
