I started Power 90 on the 23rd of April, 2007. I was 38 years old and I had 147 pounds to lose. I didn't want to hit my forties like that. I was always tired, I was depressed, I had no strength More...
I started Power 90 on the 23rd of April, 2007. I was 38 years old and I had 147 pounds to lose. I didn't want to hit my forties like that. I was always tired, I was depressed, I had no strength left. The bouts of depression and insomnia had led to a lot of the weight gain, and I realized I was punishing myself with food, not comforting myself. I wanted to be healthy, to give my children a mom who could run and play. And they needed a better role model, before they developed weight issues, too. After some soul searching, I realized that all of my attempts to quickly lose weight were due to the fear of suffering for a long time just to get back in shape. So I changed the way I looked at myself, and my life. I changed the way I see exercise and dieting. It's one day at a time, just aiming to push play 6 days a week (and I've been doing just that.) Now I've made it past the one year anniversary! My friends and family say that the change isn't just my weight, they say I seem happier and more confident, too. I'm certainly smiling more. I really believe that Beachbody programs have saved my life. I know I'm not done yet. I'm going to keep on this journey, because I now know that I can do this. And if I can do it, anybody can.
