My name is Paul and I live in rural Nebraska. I have been married to the girl of my dreams for almost 15 years. We have three kids, a boy 11, and two girls 9 and 6. I started my transformation about 2 years ago. I played college basketball for four years and ate about 3500 calories a day but not healthy. It was easy to keep the weight off because I was so active. Then came marriage, a job, and three kids. I still ate like I was in college and with my wife being an incredible cook it didn't take long to rocket up to 260 pounds. At 6'4" you can kind of hide the weight but not to your knees. I got to the point where I couldn't even exercise and play with my kids without my knees killing me. Then about 2 years ago I started to eat a little healthier and do some light exercise. I did get down to 235 pounds but still wasn't where I wanted to be. Since finding MDB I have gotten some great advice from my coach on eating healthier and what exercises to do. I have now reached my first goal of 210 pounds and played basketball for for first time in years without my knees hurting! Whoo Hoo!! I still have that little bit of fat around the middle and will be starting P90X in March 2008 to get that six-pack I've always wanted.
