In January of 08, I had reached a point where I was miserable with where my personal health was. A doctor told me I had early signs of arthritis in my lower back, my blood pressure was high and I would get constant headaches. I knew my diet wasn't where it should be, but I just never could get motivated to change anything about it. One morning I saw the commercial for P90X and for the first time, a workout commercial got my attention. What was different about it was the testimonials. I could tell they were real people with real results and not hired models with six packs. So I started researching P90X and read all the reviews on it. In doing the research, I found that people warned of it's intensity and that you better be ready for it to do it. My fear was that I was so out of shape I would start it and not finish it. So I decided to start of with Power 90 first. I started eating right a week before the Power 90 package arrived, lost 9 lbs. the week before. After my 1st week of Power 90, I lost another 3 lbs. and a half inch off my waist. As time went on, the pounds just kept coming off. Along with the weight loss, my clothes started getting loose and I could tell I had more energy. By the end of Power 90, I had lost 35lbs. and felt like I was in the best shape of my life. That was until I graduated into P90X. Man was I in for a wake up call. It kicked my butt...and I loved every minute of it. I then moved on to P90X+ and am still doing it today. I can honestly say, I love Beach Body and Tony Horton for what they have done for me. These programs are no joke. But I stress to anyone reading this, if you're serious about getting healthy and in the best shape of your life, you have to bring it! Be committed, keep pushing play, eat right and you will see the best results you have ever had. As Tony will tell you, Rome wasn't built in a day...neither was your body.
