Hi there! My name is Alison and I just turned 33--this WILL be the greatest, and healthiest year of my life! I have been married to the best husband a girl could ask for for 9 years and have 2 beautiful children!
I come from two family lines that are full of good (??) eaters! I grew up spending nearly every day in my grandparents pizzaria with never a shortage of pizza, pasta, and chicken wings until I was 10! Family gatherings always centered around food--really good food--just not the healthiest of foods! Then there is the other side of the family that is full of hard working farm-hand types that I spent the next 10 years living with! Grandma never served a meal that didn't follow with a nice big dessert (which was always followed with a bowl of ice-cream in the evening while sitting on the couch watching TV)! Not to mention that most of the meals were full of fat--she grew up in the great depression and bacon drippings were a much coveted cooking ingredient (yuck)! But, over the last few years I have realized that I am following suit...not necessarily with the bacon drippings (ha!)...but with the high calorie, high fat meals, always followed by dessert! Eating out and fast food were a big part of our lives, these days the thought of some of the meals we've had make me almost sick to my stomach and very sad for what we've been feeding our kids! My husband and I have both gained probably close to 40 pounds a piece in the last 9 years--and we've both had enough! We don't want our children to struggle with their weight as we have, and that has required all of us to change our diets and greatly increase our activity levels! Over the years I think we tried everything from pills, Weight Watchers, Body for Life, Adkins, you name it! They all worked for a little while then we were back to our same old habits and the weight came back, and then some! We joined our local fitness center, attempting to go every day and usually did. I even signed up to work-out with a trainer for 1 hour a day/5 days a week for 3 months!(...and did not see the results I have in just 2 months on the P90X program!)
The reason I chose to become a Beach Body Coach is partly for accountability for myself (trust me, it was no easy task attaching that "Before" photo to this here page--I just keep thinking about how much better that "After" photo will be!) and my desire to share this incredible program with my friends, family, and all of you because IT WORKS! I am in no way close to being in the shape that I want to be, but the great thing about P90X is that you can tailor it to your needs, and do it as many times as you need to to get you to your goal!
Beachbody helps you with all of what you need to succeed--there are programs that fit everyone--P90X and Turbo Jam work great for me--but might not be just right for you! I can now see why Beachbody is becoming the fastest growing health & fitness company in the world.

Transformation Story
The beginning of this year we were both ready for a major change! A co-worker of my husbands told him that I should try Turbo Jam, that she loves it and has lost weight and gotten in great shape! More...
The beginning of this year we were both ready for a major change! A co-worker of my husbands told him that I should try Turbo Jam, that she loves it and has lost weight and gotten in great shape! So, that night I ordered it. A week or so later, another co-worker told him that he was considering buying the P90X program, and that it would be great for him too! So, we ordered that the same night! In the meantime I started Turbo Jam and it was alot of fun and a great workout! Once we got P90X, he talked me into starting it with him. I thought there was no way I would be able to do push-ups and pull-ups and all that Tony was doing (before we received the P90X dvd set we watched the infomercial MANY times and I just KNEW there would be no chance of me doing much of anything they showed!)! Plus, I was irritated that they didn't show any fat girls like me in the infomercial that got transformed--they were all skinny to begin with, so there was NO WAY I would ever be able to get in that good of shape! But, I did my best, and forgot the rest and here I am 2/3 of the way into my first round of P90X and have seen amaxing results already! And my husbands are even more impressive! And no, I wasn't able to do some of the exercises that were shown just perfectly, but I TRIED and have gotten better, and Better, and BETTER! The first 90 days flew by! I can't believe the results that I achieved! **At the start of this journey... Chest: 42.5" Upper Arms: 12.75" / 12.75" Waist: 36.25" Hips: 41.75" Thighs: 26" / 25.75" Weight: 190 **And a short 90 days later... Chest: 39" Upper Arms: 11.5" / 11.5" Waist: 33" Hips: 39.5" Thighs: 23" / 23" Weight: 176 So!!...in just 90 days I managed to lose 18.5 inches and 14 pounds of pure fat! :)
I am planning on putting Tony to the test again on June 1st for another 90 day round of P90X! I can't wait to see the changes--bigger and better, I'm sure! Stay tuned!
