I am turning the ripe old age of 40 this year and I want to go into my 40's looking like I am in my 20's.

Though I am NOT at my goal wieght, I am feeling 14 pounds lighter than I did in January. I have always enjoyed working out, but I never wanted to really control my eating. I love to cook, and I love eating what I cook. The only way I could loose weight successfully is to eat better and exercise regularly.

Motivation was another problem I am facing as I try to loose 60 more pounds. I am currently going through a seperation/divorce and that has really gotten me down mentally, physically and emotionally. I know that I have to be strong for my children, because THEY are now my motivators.

I have my daughters 10 and 8 do some of the workouts with me. They enjoy the time we spend together as well as the physical activity. I hope that they learn that eating right and exercising is what will keep you healthy.

After purchasing a camera, I had my daughter take a profile picture of me. I always had a personal image that I really didn't look "that bad". When I saw myself, I saw myself as others see me and I was shocked at the shape my body has taken over the years.

Since this picture was taken, it has definately been a motivator to really make an honest effort at watching what I eat and when I eat. I can not stand looking at that profile picture. A picture IS worth a $1,000 words or in this case $250,000 words huh? ::smile::

I know that taking off the remainder of the weight will come at a price, but I know that this needs to happen so that I will have the energy to be a better mother, and a better person to myself and those around me.
