(10/11/09)I'm an artist, I do pottery, stone sculpting, printmaking and drawing. Right now, I'm struggling to learn French. I like to travel and I like good food, good wine, good music, and, most of all, good friends. I've maintained a zen practice for about the past 20 years. I'm married to a wonderful woman who accepts me as I am and I have two wonderful children.

My Fitness practice is P90X supplemented with Taebo and some Tom Holland routines. I've gained strength, flexibility and agility...have lost about 15 pounds. I'm working at changing my long term eating habits: more fruits and vegetables, less fat/sodium and learning portion control. At 67, I feel good about my fitness practice; I have averaged about 200 workouts per year for the past 3-4 years. My practice keeps me in good enough shape that I can do the physical activities that I want to do, keeps me looking fit.

I've lost about 16 pounds since the first of 2008...two rounds of P90X, 6 days a week...working to improve my eating habits over the long haul...portion control, balancing carbs and protein, reducing fat intake...improving carb and protein quality...Will start 3rd round of P90X in August '08 and will be adding some X+ routines.
6/09...Continue to do P90X, 10 minute trainer with Taebo and Yoga on the side...I feel pretty fit and flexible. Am able to do most of what I want to do physically. Still struggling to drop weight. I continue to work to modify long term eating behaviors and to modify my diet toward a "Zone" type carb/fat/protein ratio. Focusing on portion control, calorie counting and basic nutrition.
Overall, I'm happy with the P90X results. The program seems to be very well rounded, including the major components of an overall fitness program. It's always challenging and, in the end, worthwhile.
