Tualatin, OR I used to be very athletic when I was younger and participated in high school athletics so I was very fit. During my 20's I was fortunate enough to stay slim without much effort. When I entered my 30's I could see a change in my metabolism and I gained 25 lbs. I changed my diet and began to run and was able to lose 15 lbs when I was 38. I figured that was good enough for someone my age.

When I turned 40, I wanted to get back into shape, lose weight and build my strength and stamina. My husband joined the Volunteer Fire Dept and I soon found myself a Volunteer as well. Joining the Department gave me a reason to reach for my fitness goals.

I started the Beachbody Program 3 years ago with Slim in 6 and had great results, I lost 15 lbs. Unfortunatly, I did not keep up my exercise program and found myself right back to where I was.
Afer joining my local Volunteer Fire Department, I started over again with the Slim in 6 Program in Febuary 2006. I loved the results I acheived and wanted to continue improving.
I decided to try Power 90, so my husband purchased the tapes for my birthday in March 2006. I continued to lose a little weight but I really noticed a difference in my strength and stamina. My body was begining to lose inches and tone up. After completing the 90 day program I continued with Power Half Hour while adding weight training and running into my workout schedule.
While my main goal was to increase my stamina and strength so I could pass the Fire Dept. Physical Fitness test, I lost 10 lbs and a total of 15 inches over all. Before I started with Beachbody, I could not even run a mile. Now I can run up to 5 miles. I could not even run that distance when I was in High School Track!
I changed my diet from fast and processed foods to fresh fruits, vegetables and lean meats by using the 1600 Calorie Balanced Slim Down Plan, take the supplements and have committed completly to the idea that I had to change my lifestyle. The biggest obstacle I had to overcome was smoking. Once I started working out I knew I had to quit. My way of quiting was to push play everyday, I felt if I was going to get in shape, that included my lungs as well. I have much more confidence, feel much better about myself and can't wait to workout everyday.
In October of 2006 I took the Fire Department Physical Fitness test and was the oldest and only female to complete the course! I was even able to finish faster than a few of the men. I could not have done this without the Beachbody Programs!
UPDATE: On October 29, 2008 I had my son, Dominick Adrian. I gained 50lbs though. I have lost all but the last 10lb. My goal is to lose the remaining 10lbs by his 1 year birthday.
