I am a social worker in his early 40s. I am the father of
two young children. I am a runner and have run several half
marathons. I am planning to run a full marathon in the next
couple of years, but I am waiting for the kids to get a
little older and a few other commitments to go away before I
make this major commitment.

In the meantime I am using P90X to help get myself ready and

Three years ago, just after the birth of my second child, I
came to realization that I had to get control over my
weight. There was a Weight Watchers group at my office so I
decided to go there to loose a few pounds. The first time I
stepped on the scale (something I had not done in years) I
was shocked to see it hit 215 lbs. I knew than that I had
to loose more than a few pounds and I got to work. I
radically changed my diet and in about a month from starting
loosing weight, I began walking and running to increase my
activity. Three months later I was able to run 30 minutes
with out stopping. I than set a goal for myself to run a
half marathon for my 40th birthday which was about six
months away. I joined a gym and started resistance training
and trained for the race. Long story short, by the time I
reached my 40th birthday I had dropped 40 lbs. and a week
and a half later I ran my first half marathon.

I continued at the gym and continued running and my level of
fitness increased and I got to be a stronger runner.
However, I was not happy with the way my body looked. I
could not get much muscle definition and while I kept going
to the gym, I didn't enjoy it much.

Than I discovered P90X. I have been working away at it and
have had some great success and am seeing my body transform
to where I would like it.

It is a work in progress, but I am really enjoying it.
